fastest way to cap mythFollow

Hi,
as all who reached the end game content, I am trying to cap the myth tomes weekly, if possible.
What is the fastest, (or best for fun) way to cap them that you use ?
At the moment I just got yesterday my second relic (this time I have beaten titan at the first attempt because I was helped by some members of a very nice FC) and therefore I will have 2 classes to gear up.
The first class that I have is DRG and there are just 2/3 missing lvl90 items, the second is a new relic WAR with just one item lvl90.
What do you suggest to buy first ? Probably first the zenith weapon for the WAR (the DRG already has it) and then ?
Last question: I have not tried yet coil and the primals extreme , so what do you suggest ? level an other class (perhaps a ranged dps as I already have a tank and a melee dps) or go for coil/exteme with my best geared class ?
Unfortunately I am not really interested in crafting/harvesting (just tried for about ten level a carpenter but I got bored in a short time ...)

I find grinding for myth to be very boring, If you are a decent player then you shouldn't have any problems doing High level duty roulette except for Pharos since that one relies more on the healer in last fight than anywhere else, but any decent healer can do it easily. The High level roulette nets you 70 or 90 myth tomes and CT gives you 50, so I would do CT runs to get your loot piece and then run high level for the rest of way since it gives a big boost to gil too. Also always check queue in progress, I know when I run on my alt class healer I get on pharos constantly on last boss and get 90 myth tomes in just a few minutes quite often, I would imagine it would be quick for tanks too occasionally.

Item wise if you are serious about coil, I would max out one char then move onto the next one.. otherwise its your choice on how you do it, I would get the weapon (or ex weapon if you can kill ex primals) and then all best in slot pieces before getting non best in slot.

Absolute fastest way to cap myth is running your daily high lvl roulette first, then, providing you are a tank, run haukke manor Hm or copperbell HM. With instant queues you can reach cap in a few short hours.

If you are any other class, I would run said roulette, then CT until you get weekly drop. Depending on how long that takes, run said HM 's after until cap.

As far as gear, focus on one first because either way, from myth and/or coil, rng and lock out will ensure it will take a few months to fully i90 gear. Maximize that time on one. Your alts can pick up CT gear and DL with philo that you get from myth grinding, so those loots come as an added bonus.

As far as primal accessories, if you don't have a static farm party, I would just do them here and there and hope for the best. With such a high number of unsuccessful runs, you will gain more ground focusing on capping myth. I run primals only after my cap is reached for the week.

First, do your high level duty roulette every day for bonus myth.

The fastest way to cap myth currently, I believe, is by doing coil turn 1-5 and then high level duty roulette. If you don't coil, try running Haukke Manor (hard). Extremely quick and not too difficult.

The way I cap myth is just by running CT. By the time the piece I want drops, I'm capped on myth. I find it to be the most fun as well.

Depends on how serious you are about your WAR. There are quite a few who would go for Dual Haken (the extreme mode drops) over Bravura IIRC and possibly over the Allagan Battleaxe.

If you don't have access to that, could you tell me which pieces of DRG loot you don't have at i90? Might be best to go gear up WAR. You'll have to ask a local WAR on what piece of myth to get next!

You can easily off tank in Garuda Extreme with your gear on WAR. Switch to DRG on Ifrit and Titan and have fun!

All classes are viable in coil. It doesn't hurt to level a ranged, though. Gives you more diversity. That's how I built Hitome.

Good luck. :)

Do CT drops reset on Mondays as well? I got a piece on my very first run over the weekend. Smiley: lol

Just putting this out there. I use to try and cap myth as fast as possible. Now, doing the normal stuff I do I usually cap myth by Wed without even trying. Coil 1-4 150. few Ct runs (lets say 2 because that's what I did last week) 100 more. Primal HMs, Ultima HMs, AK relic runs, etc. By Friday I keep seeing, "You can not get any more Myth for the week" flash across my screen over and over again so I don't worry about doing it as fast as possible anymore since it just happens.

It's pretty simple these days.

Either do 5 Daily High level roulettes and only press on if you get a 50 tome dungeon. That way you get 450 myths for just spending 30 minutes each day.

Or simply do 9 Dungeons for 50 Myths each. CT or any HM dungeon works.

Personally i like to just do Peiste Treasure hunts for them in a group. 8 times 5 myths, with the occasional 15 myth pop, and some gil. What's not to love.

Yep, this is what I've been doing as well.

I used to run the high level Roulette but that time feels like it is wasted if you are capped by Wednesday. Then all the drops you get when doing Primals or Ultima don't count for anything.

Roulette is a good way to catch-up if you find yourself nowhere near the cap by Friday night. This did happen one week when I got CT drop on the first run and spent a lot of time leveling off-classes. Three days of Roulette made hitting the cap easy.

I do this.

Monday - Run CT twice. No more than twice. 100 myth there. I run once if I get the piece i want.
Monday - Run a high level duty roulette. If Pharos Sirius, die to OP Siren with her crawling stun zombies. Haukke manor or Copperbell HM will net you 50 tomes + the 40 roulette bonus, for 90 total tomes. AK nets you 40 + 40 = 80, and WP nets you 30+40 = 70. So 70-90 per day just off the high level duty roulette.
Tuesday - Look for a BC party. Turn 1 nets you 50, turn 2 nets you 50, turn 4 nets you 50. Turn 5 is, well, yeah. Run 1 more duty roulette for 70-90.
Wednesday through Sunday - Find the time to sneak in one more duty roulette, or run 2-5 EX or HM primals. 70-90 from the roulette, 50 for the primals. Alternatively find a treasure hunting party. Peisteskin maps yield 5 or 15 myth tomes so at the most, 5 or 6 maps from the group will cap you.

By Wednesday night, with 2 hours of CT, 2.5 hours of combined duty roulette, 1.5 hours of bc for a total of 6 hours, I have the following:

CT x 2 = 100 tomes
Monday Roulette = 80 tomes
Tuesday Roulette = 80 tomes
Tuesday BC = 150 tomes
Wednesday Roulette OR Primals OR Map party = remaining 50 tomes

Congratulations, you are capped for the week. And if BC is not your thing, two days of duty roulette high level will clear that right up.

I'm in a Coil 1-4 group, so we clear that every week we can. 1-2 hours gone.

After that, the Friendly level daily quests can give you either 3 Mythology or 15 Philosophy per daily.

Everything else can be covered by Peisteskin maps (5 or 15 per map) and CT.

I just do a high-level roulette each day... eventually when I have time, I run CT (but sometimes I don't have time). I usually cap by Friday, and I never have to grind for several hours to do it.

This way, I also have time each night to play with others in my FC and help with whatever else we've got going on.

So doing this, I was capped by Tuesday night this week. Maybe I just play to much ^^

I run CT (but sometimes I don't have patience).

Every... single... time... an exercise in mass stupidity. I'd rather stab myself in the eye with a hot needle, if not for the shiny CT armor and 50 myth reward.

I need to run CT again this weekend. I've actually had really good luck with it... haven't lost a run yet, and only my very first time did we come close to using the whole time limit (and that was mostly my fault, since I was off-tanking for my first time... fortunately my alliance was patient and helpful, which may not be the case now).

I like tanking CT actually. A few things to remember as tank, you will know them when you get there.

1. Tank the skeletons on the individual square platforms, no two skeletons can die on the same platform.
2. Bring the atomos adds back in the healer's range (who is standing on the button) and thou shalt live.
3. If you aren't on the demon, tank the bomb.
4. If you arent on a button, tank behemoth, if you arent on behemoth, tank the iron giant.
5. When your side goes invisible, tank the boss. When you are visible, tank the other stuff, like the guys attacking your pot.

And for heaven's sake, stick together as a group within healer range if you want to live Smiley: nod

CT is the FFXIV version of the youtube comments section.
But if you have another class to help gear up, run it unti you have your drop.
Do a roulette when you log in. Treasure hunts.
It's no longer a grind to cap or near-cap tomes as of 2.1.
