I wanted to share my Atma experience (not that anyone really cares =) as it's fresh and IM DONE (as of 10 min ago)!!!

I started march 31st (exactly 3 weeks) for sure because I haven't been playing lately, and wanted to get back into it before the PS4 beta phase 2 that weekend.

Anyway, I don't have time to be really hardcore anymore... No more than ~2hr weekdays, but I played enough on the weekends ;) There were also enough days I didn't play at all.

This past Saturday was my birthday, and I was 6/12. Part of my gift was "leave daddy/hubby alone and I can hog up the good TV to play FFXIV PS4 version."

I must have clocked 5+ hours^^ but I after about 3 hours of total play time I remember telling my wife "thanks for everything, but it feels like a somewhat waste since I have nothing to show for it..."
(No atma on my b-day at all...)

That Sunday I got 3 Atmas in < 3 hours total play time.

I took my PS Vita to work today and got an atma in 30 min on my lunch break via remote play.

I got another Atma after work in about 45 min, so on to my LAST ONE.

I'm thinking "OMG, I'll never get to sleep tonight. Can I even pull an all nighter like I did on my 20's? HELL YA!"

I got my last Atma on the FIRST DROP. WOW.....

Don't know why to say folks, but this random is RANDOM lol. It is a rewarding feeling to complete, and get a weapon that is not even 1/2 as cool looking as what you got already.

Congrats Mess3, I like this story, because it seems like you didn't give up in the middle to complain. You kept at it, and was eventually rewarded. You spent the free time you did have grinding to get it, and not complaining on the official forums it seems. Congrats to you Sir. Now comes the real grind, that sends you out to the far reaches of the land, and dungeons to slay creatures for your weapon to feed on their souls.

Again Sir, congrats, and happy belated birthday!!

Yeah he, like, totally earned this.
Because endless, mindless repetition was duly rewarded in 2010, maybe people will like it once again.

He has more patience than you do, so yes, he did earn it. Get over it.

Endless and mindless repetition in a MMO?

Oh, you do go on.

Grats OP. I was kind of disappointed, too, that they took the glow away. Feels like it should have gone zenith (no-glow) > atma (current zenith glow) > animus (TURN OFF YOUR DAMN HEADLIGHTS)

But what can you do? Just gives you that much more motivation to get the glow back!

The books are really cool so far. Well, I say books when I mean book. Neat design, lots of activities to do, etc. I haven't done anything but the FATEs yet. Hope you have fun with them. :)
