Ixal quests added, and some changes to B rank hunts, and the daily/weekly marks are the changes that stuck out to me.

"Regular mark bills that awarded 1 allied seal will now award 4 allied seals upon completion.
Regular mark bills that awarded 2 allied seals will now award 10 allied seals upon completion."

"The respawn time of rank B elite marks has been changed to five seconds.

The HP of rank B elite marks has been reduced so that they can be defeated by a single player.

In conjunction with the above HP reduction, the minimum contribution required to complete elite mark bills has been lowered.

Rank B elite marks have been changed from aggressive to passive.

Rank B elite marks will no longer yield rewards upon defeat.

* Upon defeating a rank B elite mark, players will only receive the reward granted by the elite mark bill in their possession.

In conjunction with the above change, the number of Allied Seals awarded by elite mark bills has been increased from 20 to 50 seals.

All players will now be assigned a different weekly elite mark."

Nothing interesting whatsoever except for the Airship construction pieces. That's curious...

In line with the amount of time it takes to die to the horde?

The horde will butcher them regardless of whether or not it yields rewards.

Do you think so? As much as the playerbase seems to be about doing everything as quickly and efficiently as possible, I doubt it.

Never underestimate the ability or the willingness of players to do things for absolutely no reason other than "because **** you".

If they respawn every 5 seconds, it won't even matter. I highly doubt they'll get killed other than for bills.

Just took out Naul when the servers came up for my weekly target.

They really nerfed these things into oblivion. I was actively dodging the orange streaks, but other than that i barely took a total of 1000 HP damage throughout the entire fight :/

Honestly my guess is that they are right back to what they used to be before SE buffed them awhile back.

So one B per person per week for 50 seals, that is soloable and respawns every 5 seconds, and each person's is different. Not bad. That is equivalent to 10 B ranks as it was before, I wont miss it much as I generally did not run B ranks. I will miss the 30 myth from each B rank however. Still, should thin out the people hunting A's since people wont be as forced to show up.

Also every day you get some normal targets that give 4 each instead of 1, and the fate targets give 10 each instead of 2. And from my understanding certain fates spwan faster now.

So they pulled the B's away from dedicated PS4 / high end PC hunters, who werent all that interested in them to begin with, and gave it to the PS3 and low end pc players who were frustrated that they couldnt see the enemies of get to them before google chrome or Asuna Yu'ki pulled.

Overall, not bad. Smart PR.

That is what you make for the Ixali daily quests. For their airship. They give you the materials for free.

getting a kill every 5 secs would be good except now you only get anything for doing it IF you have the bill.. mening killing said rank B mob will only be useful once a week ASSUMING hes in the mark bill for that week

Unless the horde has no motivation to hunt it. That is the key here. Post 2.35, if it is not your weekly hunt elite mark, you will get absolutely no benefit for killing it, and it respawns in 5 seconds.

Don't blame the hunt groups for running in to speed pull a monster knowing they won't get meaningful rewards.

I think the adjustments to the hunts are good. Even more so for players like me who cannot get on for roughly more then an hour a day. The 5 second respawn along with needing the bill will make getting it that much easier. That along with the increase to dailies means I'm not waiting forever for 2 fates to pop just for 4 seals. So dailies now net me 32 seals rather than 7. Nice changes.

Although it'll make me sound like a party pooper, the Dev. Team basically forcing people to properly meet iLvl requirements for dungeons and raids instead of coasting under the mark by swapping gear to spiritbond once they're in pleases me.

That said, I am a little confused about the wording of this part here, which is in reference to bonding gear that is Item Level 70 or higher:

Quote:
Following the above changes to spiritbond gain, the probability of converting gear item level 70 or above into grade IV materia will now vary depending on the item level of the gear converted.

The 'probability' will now vary? Prior to 2.35, the 'probability' of a Grade IV materia coming from anything 70 and above was 100%. The wording has me worried that now even i70 isn't a 100% surefire Grade IV, which considering that the only convertible gear beyond that is the i90 Saurian/Wolfram/Cashmere stuff, and those can take weeks to bond unless you're quad-melding/quintuple-melding them ... thaaat's not good.

Not unless they intend to drastically raise the speed at which i90 gear bonds in Expert dungeons, FCoB Raids, and ST. But even then with the high odds of 'meh' materia (Elementals, Stats), throwing 500-1000 Mythology at every piece you want to make for bonding (or 1500 with accessories) seems a steep price for the materia lotto, even with Myth flowing much more readily these days.

Eh? Chocobo colors is pretty exciting to me... Considering it's my mount of choice while leveling, mine being different colored makes me happy.

I'm working on some fruit at the moment. The seeds cost 15 allied seals each at your gc and you have to grow the plants. I'm using shroud soil 3 to hopefully increase yield. I bought the soil out of pocket, I hated to do it, but I bought a few extra blue fruit seeds to sell for profit to make up the costs. I bought 3 of the ones that increase blue, and one that decreases red, and another that decreases green. I want a blue choco. I'm assuming that the colors are based in RGB, so to get a pure blue from its polar opposite yellow would take longer than anything else since you have to wash out both red and green while increasing blue. Some have speculated that it will take 9 fruits to complete a cycle, others speculate 6. Really no one knows since the fruits havent grown up yet to be harvested. I'm sure there has been someone out there just grinding away every hour with fertilizer, but I'm not THAT dedicated.

Actually you are right, the early response has been pretty positive on lamia. Seems as if the common practice is to shout out a B if you see it (in area shout, not linkshell) and whoever needs it runs over. Mine was sewer syrup, and just as expected it popped up at 8,5. But I didnt personally find it, a nice person in area shout gave me its location. I ran over and soloed it on my black mage with chocobo. Was pretty challenging, had to pop a few heals, but I made it.

I noticed everyone always mentioned that xD Considering it's for the Ixali stuff and any personal airships we get will just be a cutscene I never looked too deeply into it :p

Considering no one wants them for real content, they seem to still flood CT/ST and have yet to get bored :p

Coming back to confirm my fears in my previous post. They have indeed made it so i70 gear is no longer a lock to get Grade IV materia. Me and a friend used some gear we meant to use before 2.35 but didn't get around to until today.

I'm actually pretty disappointed on a personal level. I made gear to bond in dungeons, but I never, ever went anywhere with gear that didn't meet the Item Level requirements. TTD HM? SV HM? Always the Darksteel and Gryphonskin stuff, never trying to sneak in some sub-par i49 accessories or crap. Slower bonding? Maybe, but I at least knew I wasn't both hoping for a rare Grade IV, and even rarer Grade IV I actually needed.

That and my scruples dictated I at least keep myself gear-capable for what I do.

I'm already seeing some bad effects that making i70 gear convert half the time (or more) in to Grade III materia is having, on top of making i45-55 stuff meld faster in stuff like Castrum or Praetorium or out at Urth's Gift. Savage Aim IV and Savage Might IV? Prices are rocketing north, while the market for Tier III has plummeted, and hard, due to both scarcity and a glut to each tier respectively.

tl;dr - whine whine, **** *****, I had to finish my Novus by going from 4.5 million to 500k gil since actually spiritbonding to get IV materia now seems unbearable, and that makes me as angry as a Gaius at a Primal convention or something.
