Thanks for the info this is why I swing by ZAM. I didn't get a email this time, guess i'll log in and run around the world, fight a few fates and see if any low level content has been added. September is a big month for new games and this is a slow game period it's nice to have this game time here.
No low level content really worth mentioning unfortunately. I still think SE is missing a big chance here too.
They're doing welcome back weekends and trials, but they haven't really added anything in the early stages of the game. If you're a new player giving it a second or third shot, there's nothing new for you to make you reconsider. It's also an opportunity to bring back old players who might already have a class or two at cap. As someone who stuck to only a few classes, new content at the front end would at least convince me to try others out beyond what I needed for the additional abilities.
I dont feel this is entirely true.
They changed roadblock dungeons that used to be a problem for people such as AK and Pharos significantly. Diffirent dungeons for GC progression entirely. And with the Echo (and stronger party members) people who were once stuck at relics are now able to easily proceed. As well as more and better gear being available to people.
I realize we differ on what we feel "low level content" is. But with the introduction of a lot of new quests and pets, there's already a LOT to do on your journey to 50. If you wanted to level purely through quests, there already is something close to 2~2,5 times the amount of quests out there to do it. And outside of it all, i dont truly count the two weeks it takes to hit 50 as low level content.
There's a lot to offer for new people trying out this game still. As well as returnees that were already 50 (new primals, more story, more dungeons, better gear, key-point adjustments to previous roadblocks, housing, chocobo dyes, etc)
The only thing it might not truly cater to are people who were leveling to 50 and quit the game halfway. But to them, this simply isnt the kind of game they could enjoy, and nothing short of a complete overhaul could make them happy. And even then there's no guarantee that they would like it. Nothing did (nor should) change to the core principle of the game. It's more than sufficient for new players to try out the game, returnees that were stuck to proceed, as well as people who played all there is to play to experience the new content.
