Weekly Goals and Accomplishments 09/5 -09/11Follow

#1 Sep 05 2014 at 7:04 AM Rating: Excellent
Back to a regular schedule again. What do you plan to do?

1. Relic weapon for WAR.... and start Atma grinding again. Oy.
2. Finish Archer 30 quest, unlock BRD
3. BRD to 34 - and STOP. I like the job, but it doesn't play that differently from BLM, and all my investment is already there.
4. Weekly ST drop. Aiming for an Oil this time. Oil or BLM coat or WHM or tank gear will work.
5. Speaking of oil, I got an Blood Spattered Log from a random A rank I did on a whim yesterday, so need the remaining 50-odd seals to cash in for a second one. Going to save for all three and unweather my hat.

Question - since I unweathered one ring, can I purchase a second weathered ring to wear? Kind of weird to have a 110 ring and a 90 ring like I do now.

Weekend Goals

1. Finish capping soldiery for the week. I need 50 soldiery to go, so that is 2 or 3 hunts.
2. With whm at 48 I suppose I am in the home stretch. Might as well take it to 50 and start on the relic quest.
3. Work to beat turn 6 - 8 on Saturday and Sunday. Bought me a shiny new headset for my phone so maybe I can communicate now.

Next Week's Goals

1. Go into ST next week for the bard belt or hands.
2. Cap soldiery and either save it for a future rosenbogen (3 weeks worth) or just break down and get the 110 bracelets (really depends on t6-8 loot this weekend)
3. Once whm is 50, I join the "everything at 50" club. Only thing left to do is garden, make money, and hunt atma (and run weekly coil) until a new patch.
4. I might hunt a bit (3600 seals, not really important atm) but I should up my rank in frontlines (only 24 right now). That way I can wear my cool bard glamours.

And yes Kat, once you upgrade the weathered ring, you can buy a new weathered ring to have both a 110 and a 100 ring. The weathered and unweathered versions are both unique but are not the same so you can equip both at the same time. Its what I did on my blm.

Now much for this upcoming week and since I got PLD to i100, I will start working on SCH.

- Continue working on pvp rank. Currently 33, would like to hit 36 by this time next week.
- ST drop, any piece for SCH.
- Try for Ink Blue on chocobo.
- Maybe a hunting party.

My recent leveling binge has left a mess on my character!

lol.

Hopefully, I can...

1). Get hunting logs caught up on WHM and THM, and also the GC hunting log caught up (I can't rank up until I do)
2). Get all crafts on 20 + Lv20 crafting/gathering gear made and try to make a push towards 28 CUL
3). Hopefully push THM a bit higher, hoping for Lv20 by the end of the weekend? Not sure. We'll see.
4). Maybe finish the Garuda fight, but that's kinda low-priority.

This weekend shouldn't be quite as crazy as last weekend, so here are my goals:

1. Go through the following already unlocked dungeons for the first time: Brayflox's Longstop (Hard), Copperbell Mines (Hard), Halatali (Hard), Haukke Manor (Hard), Syrcus Tower, Binding Coils of Bahamut (whichever turns I can manage)

2. Do the following already unlocked trials for the first time: The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane, Thornmarch (Extreme), The Howling Eye (Extreme), The Striking Tree (Hard)

3. Unlock and do the following trials for the first time: The Striking Tree (Extreme), The Whorleater (Extreme), The Navel (Extreme), The Bowl of Embers (Extreme)

4. Get caught up on story quests (I'm at the point where I have to fight Ramuh for the first time) and be ready for the next big update.

5. Continue working on next sets of armor and weapons that I'm planning on getting.

6. Start leveling up my other classes and jobs once #1-4 are done.

7. Misc. stuff - hunts, maxing soldiery, daily roulettes, etc.

I think that's enough for now.

Well now that I'm back to playing again on a limited basis, I'll chime in Smiley: cool

1.) Level WHM from 46-50 & start quest for relic weapon.
2.) Level THM from 11-27 for Swiftcast so my WHM is not gimp.
3.) Start gearing WHM for end-game.
4.) Profit?

Glad to be back, my assumption is I won't be talking as much in-game as I used to, and won't be as hardcore of a player since that was negatively impacting my relationship, but it sure is nice to be back!

Welcome back, Hairspray!

My goals:

1) Spiritbond! I'm on a big-time gil kick right now.
2) Run ST a few times... hope for another UAT.
3) Max soldiery through hunts.
4) Help a friend with her final storyline dungeons.
5) Continue my search for a new FC.

I may be doing Turn 5 tonight, but otherwise I'm putting my progression goals on hold until I decide which of two FCs on my server I'm going to join. One of those FCs was kind enough to give my friend and I a trial run, and I'm hoping the other FC does the same.

No goals except sort my inventory situation out.
I will probably spend more time crafting this weekend than normal.
Probably a few ct's for an oil.
Probably some hunts.
Probably my expert for maps for Alexandrites.
Nothing special really this weekend.

You dont have to Beat titan EX anymore? how does that work, can you just go unlock any of the other primal EX's or what?

Depends on the FC, but you basically go on a raid with them and communicate with them in party chat - maybe on their TS server if they want to go that far - and see how well you mesh with the group. It's not a bad idea for raid-oriented teams who require harmonious, drama-free interaction.

If you can follow instructions reasonably well and don't **** out the tank midway through the run, they might extend it to a formal invitation. Goes the other way too - if you discover that the backstage chatter on Teamspeak is full of profanity, racism, and political crap, you can decide that FC is not for you.

This isn't even a raiding trial run... it's basically just a chance for me to spend some time with the FC and learn about what they're like on a day-to-day basis.

Are people quiet? Are they chatty? What do they talk about? How often do people do events? Are events planned, or spontaneous? If spontaneous, are they frequent enough to satisfy my needs to complete content? How mature are the people in the group? Etc.

Being more of a midcore player, I'm just as interested in finding a FC that offers the right cultural fit as well as opportunities for endgame progression.

I made the mistake of joining a different FC back on Sargatarnus without the chance for a trial run, and I quickly regretted it... the group was great for endgame, but everyone in the FC acted like a bunch of spoiled, bigoted teenagers.

Well, I've recently started a second character just for fun. I wanted to have a chance to play an alt since I'm pretty much capping out on the things I can do each week since I don't do coil or anything like that (lack of time/skill, etc).

So:

Get new guy through the first round of dungeons.
Get WVR 50 on main.
Work on Atma bow for BRD (Going for the novus, I guess. I don't really like Rosenbogen)
Get CNJ 30 on main.
I might try out a hunt party.

I think that's a good list.

That is the real reason I want to do it.. You hit it on the head. I am also midcore ans that's hard to find it seems.. Either its too casual or to hard core.. But with so many mids out there you think it would be easy.

I dont want a FC that act like a bunch of kids, talk a bunch of crap.. I am looking for a mature FC that does raids and stuff.. I wanna see what the people are like.. I have had so many promise but I wonder if they do what they say they do.. Also are their groups set and you cant get in anything with them.. Like if they have a BC group, is there a opening or are they helping who ever needs it through or are they not doing it even though they say they are....

I also have Tesee with me and have to think of what she likes. She actually plays allot more than me...

I dont get why a trial, you can leave any FC anytime you want if it does not work out right?

This is more of a mutual understanding of, "I'm here for a week or so, then I'm probably going to leave and check out at least one more FC, but there's a good chance I'll come back if I like it here."

I like that it's an upfront understanding, so there is no confusion about what's to be expected.

  1. Keep Soldiery capped, probably by spamming Tam-Tara HM 9-10 times a week.
  2. I'm still hoping for a hunt party that doesn't vanish halfway through the hunt for the first A, but not expecting it.That would cover Soldiery and rekindle the vague hope I might get more than the one Oil I managed pre-nerf.
  3. Do Tam-Tara HM anyway because it's fun.
  4. Continue maxing out i70 melded accessories for FSH, which is really slow because the market in my money-makers totally died in the last week leaving me with tons of inventory and no gil.
  5. Level WVR some more
  6. Do Main Scenario Roulette because it's fun.
  7. Level BLM and SMN to 40 each while completing my Chocobo Challenge Log which with luck should leave Raindrop a week or two away from Rank 11
.

We've got an interesting setup. We are all in our late 20's and 30's and we don't raid as a focus. Our FC is full of master crafters and savvy businesspeople. In real life we are tech professionals, managers, and scientists (and one guy who works in a window factory). Our motto is "We have work in the morning. TM" We've got a friendly group that is very successful, but we tend to rent ourselves out to linkshells for raiding (mostly because we are all scattered across the map). We have everything that the top FC's have, but we are more accessible (only 20 of us, and if you play and you are cool you can buy actions, use the garden, buy a room, stable the chocobo, hit the training dummy, whatever you need. All I request is that no one touch my morbol office in the basement, and save me one of our 3 garden plots for my self sustaining glazenut factory.

The only ones who left were a group in their early 20s who were raid oriented. I suppose in the end it wasnt the best match. But I like our group. Our little FC has turned out to be right about where we anticipated it to be.

So, my FC consists of me and my alt, currently. I could never find the right fit in getting into groups (hint hint: I must be the problem). It's ok for now since it stops all the random FC invites I get running around. It also lets me trade gear between my two characters via Company Chest. I might try to expand, but I don't think it'll work out that way. I tend to just work within the LSs that I have. Working on the house and Novus seems pretty daunting at the moment though.

I think I'm a jerk.

Started working on getting Alexandrite, and started fishing up the twenty HQ Silver Sovereign that I need for my new pole.

The first map was pathetically easy, so I'm not sure what people were complaining about. Maybe I just
got an easy one, I'll find out soon. As to the fish, I'm up to six so far.

Do not ask me how but i seem to have stumbled onto Soot Black while trying to Ink Blue. I will count that as a win. Kept bouncing between Royal Blue and Rolenberry Red while trying for Midnight Blue. Finally landed on Abyssal Blue, then to Grape Purple and finally fell into Soot Black. Nice to see the 600k i spent on fruits did not go to waste atleast. ^.^;

Nacho Cheese to the healers, Cool Ranch under the boss. If Cool ranch is under the boss and Nacho Cheese comes out, bring Nacho Cheese to Cool Ranch.
