Weekly Goals and Accomplishments 9/19 -9/25Follow

Patch 2.38 is here - what are you planning to do?

1. SCH hit 50 last night (hooray!) so I'm in the process of assessing what gear I can borrow from my WHM and what I'll have to glamour. I still haven't decided what look I want to cultivate.
2. Start on relic quest for scholar *dies*
3. Run ST for a drop. I need a few more healer pieces, but I'll have enough soldiery to buy a BLM coat now, so I will probably run it on WHM for the first time. Or maybe scholar!
4. Get back in the money making groove. I've been too focused on leveling.

Next week is going to be a busy week at work for me - ITIL training in preparation for my Foundations cert and 9 hour days.

Our Coil static got off to a great start last night. I figured we'd farm T2 and T4 a bunch before attempting T5, but Valk seems to think we're already ready to start learning the Twintania dance. Smiley: lol

Not much this weekend..
Since the whole housing garbage we decided to take a little more time away from the game, so we are doing some other stuff this weekend and will spend less time on the game than we normally spend.
We will probably be concentrating on raising crafting some and making a little money so next round we can get some land if we are still playing.

Well, Warframe decided it'd be a great Weekend to do an Event, blah. Not sure how much I'll get done with THAT going on, but...

1). Still need to make some kind of effort to get BSM to 30. I think it is 28 now. Although I will admit, I can make Lv30 tools now, just barely, so that might not be such a huge priority now. I just need a level or three so I can make the whole list of tools.

2). Should get some of the other crafts caught up too; I think the worst is ARM at 25. They keep asking for stupid stuff that is annoying to make for the GC dailies.

3). I think WVR and LTW are the two I should focus on most; I need some new clothes (again... lol). Thankfully, this time around, I'm becoming good friends with the Slyphs and that means cheap/easy Velveteen. Yay for not needing hundreds of diremite webs for everything I do until Flax! lol.

4). On the subject of LTW, I really should get to farming some more goatskins and some toadskins. I'm almost out of goat leather, and I have pretty much nil toadskin. Might take a trip to Mor Dhona and see if I can get my bird a levelup while killing the toads there for their skins. I've killed a few of them and the skin drops were not impressive, though. If that doesn't work out too well, I could use THM and kill the ones in Thanalan instead and my bird would still get XP (just less of it) so I might do that instead depending on how good the skins drop. Then it is just a matter of mining up some more alumen and I could probably get a level or two just by making toadskins and have enough toad leather to do the GC dailies clear until the next leather..... boar leather, IIRC?

5). I started my relic weapon quest last night, hopefully I can get ahold of one of the FC Alchemists to meld the materia into the weapon they ask for, though I doubt I'll get far in the questline until I get some more Myth gear (which is also on the on-going todo list; 'try to fit as many daily roulettes in as possible') due to I-level requirements on some of the things they ask you to do. Shouldn't be too hard to get past it with some i90 pieces, esp. the cheap accessories.

Try to decide whether or not to go ahead and use my 75 alexandrite to make a cheapass novus to be able to start on the nexus stage, or to actually build it properly the first time which means I'll need to put it on hold for an eternity until I have the necessary gil. :/

Other than that, keep progressing on my 5th animus. At least there aren't any tough decisions involved with that one. Buy books -> do stuff -> get shiny. Simples!

My goals this weekend are simple. They are all on-going tasks that I probably will not complete this weekend.

1. Try to start and complete as many extreme primals as possible (no successes yet).
2. Continue farming FATEs to get atmas and continue working towards i100 equipment by capping soldiery.
3. Get started on coils.

Going to try to get WHM to i90, @ 83 now.... other then that maybe try some of the newer dungeons out now that my gear is getting better, perhaps start the Atma quest for WHM too and start farming for it.

Aside from trying to find a hunt party that runs all night, my main thing I think will now be Atmas. I have full Myth ready for BLM when it hits 50, my retainers are Myth'd out, and could use all that Myth I get for books instead of wasting it.

The question then becomes, do I do WHM first (as is my natural inclination) or MNK (which is being more fun the more I play it)? Or should I go for both in parallel?

And pick up some Silver Sovereigns if get around to it. And save up 1.5m gil for my second Thavairian Onion.

If you don't want to waste Myth, look at picking up 3 bottles of Superior Enchanted Ink (500 myth each) for when you go from the Animus weapon to the Novus.

As for what I'd like to accomplish, it's going to be doing some Alexandrite maps, thinking about setting up some type of online forum for the Coil static (as amusing as it would to go old school and set up a LiveJournal community, that's not going to happen), and pick away at crafting jobs (notably ARM and BSM) and fishing.

Oh, since everything I would work on for ARM and BSM requires iron or steel, I should go and farm up a mess of iron ore. At least all the mining spots for that are in one place.

Ramuh Prime-Extreme to beat this weekend and get my casting ring :)

Aside from that T5 would be nice but does anyone do that any more? :P

Well, i went to try Archeage, that was fun... for like... a day. Horribly restrictive in an unplayable way if you dont intend to pay for it, griefing, trolling, stealing, scamming, poorly thought out quests, hundreds of RMT and bots and every single thing you want to do ingame (even opening loot pouches from monsters holding a few copper coins) requires Labor Points that only regenerate (slowly) if you're online, which makes no one logout and queue's endless for getting in (like 10+ hours only to disconnect somewhere).

I dont know what i was expecting from a Free to Play (*cough*Pay-to-Win*cough*) game in the first place...

Final Fantasy XIV is right where i want to stay (and maybe play some PSO2 on the side).

My goals this week are simple:

- Cap Soldiery
- Get my last 3 sands through Hunts
- Keep everyone in my FC happy by crafting them stuff
- Recruit more members

- Continue the grind to pvp rank 38. Currently 35. Have done all these levels as SCH, so for a change and the last 3 levels, going as MNK and enjoying it so far.
- level chocobo.
- cap soldier/myth.
- hunts, maybe.

Edit: farm coil turns for oil/sands and pld mount.

Was out Thursday and Friday for family related medical stuff.

So I'll list my goals for the weekend and this week, and whether or not they were accomplished.

1. Beat T6-T8 Saturday, work on T9.

We beat T6-T8 is a combined 1 and 1/2 hours. Got bard high allagan boots, bracelets, and earrings. Not a bad haul! At ilvl 103 now with 5 high allagan pieces. Did some work on T9, saw heavensfall for the first time. Really tough grabbing the first blue golem, dragging him in between two meteors, then depending on whether or not he dies in time, moving over to the new blue golem, silencing earthshock, then moving right behind the last golem, avoiding ballast, where I cast TP song and pop sprint to run in a giant circle to drop meteors, when watch for the green meteor placement, to then move to the outside, pop two buffs, and put the new blue golem in between two meteros and repeat (except for tp song and sprint). #bardproblems

2. Work on getting the nexus for the paladin.

Apparantly a bright light gives 4 points and I need 2000. Feeble light gives 1 point. I've probably only stacked 75 - 100 points at the moment. Going to be slow going for me.

3. Cap soldiery and buy rosenbogen.

Oh Rosenbogen, how I have yearned for thee. I will get you Tuesday or Wednesday... you will.... see?

4. Still need my weekly ST piece. Was running ST and leaving after 2nd boss if bard gloves didnt drop. I will run today (Monday) and pick up whatever falls that I dont have.

That's it. Maybe beat ramuh ex a few times if my static is up for it. And try to help Kat and team out on T5 if I can make it on. And garden glazenuts. Other than that, easy goals till 2.4.

Holy cow... I actually got to i90 WHM!! And I did some new content, the Hunt's are so much fun! And Syrcus Tower too! I wish I had read up on the loot situation for ST first, I wound up needing on an Unidentified Allaghan Tombstone when I really needed to be trying to get loot... oh well... it's Monday so I can run it again soon for loot :)

I think the Hunt's might actually be more interesting for Crystal Light, she may actually want to play some end-game stuff with me again. She hates dungeons, but Hunts are a different animal altogether.

Overall I'm very happy I came back when I did the content has changed in a more positive direction!

Hunts are fun for sure and one of the cooler things to do and the problems they had earlier are a little better... Still early pulls and for some they still disappear but with less people doing them now they are better. Still frustrating to run there just too see it die. Daily's are pretty cool too unless you get a fate that does not pop for 3 hours like we had this weekend.. Funny how sometimes I can do dailies in 20 min and other times it take almost all night..

I actually wonder what will happen to hunts when with new gear coming out again and new tomes?
I am guessing the new gear might be upgradeable the same way through sand and oils.

Well considering it's a good addition to the game, and it would actually increase longevity of the game for us especially, I sure hope they make some newer (Harder) ones with the newer tomes.

Farmed around 450 to 500 lights toward my Nexus over the weekend. Pretty good pace, considering that light farming parties on my server are for the most part refusing to take more than one tank.

Also got my dragoon to 49, and helped a friend unlock several hard-mode dungeons.

1. Didn't get to do this. The schedules in my FC didn't work out well this weekend to tackle these. I will continue trying,t hough.
2. Got another Atma and now have 4 of the 12. Ran a few experts and am close to solidery cap for the week. Will continue working on both.
3. Haven't started yet. Will continue working towards.

Achieved last night, and I've yet to do Today's GC turn-in, so 30.5 is possible.

Wound up farming up ~40 toadskins from Thanalan; killed some toads near Mor Dhona and not a single skin dropped. Used THM and got a tiny slice of XP for me and my bird, the mobs died a lot faster and I got the aforementioned 40 skins. Turning them into toad leather should give me a good chunk of a level and ensure I've got toad leater for quite awhile. I might need to go out and get goat skins tho, they are still asking for goatskin stuff and I'm almost out of goat leather.

Well, I have all i90 accessories except for 1 ring and I progressed my Thyrus quest up until Hydra. I'll need to keep ~300myth out for the item but otherwise I'll start saving up for the armor pieces.

Hmm, let's see. Snagged an oil and a sand this week. Now I've got an i110 spear and a pair of gloam rings (one weathered) and am up to i102 on my DRG. I can now break 1500 damage with the final hit of my Full Thrust combo.

Since I didn't want any of small properties that hadn't been snagged up, I decided to blow some gil on my Miner and got it fully melded. Since I already had the belt and accessories from Fishing, it took a lot less money than I thought it would. I still haven't quite finished yet though. I'm using food as a crutch to break 600 GP for now. I want to put the GP materia on the accessories, but it's only a 19% chance, so I've been buying up all the materia I can get when I can get it under a certain price. The breaks are killing me, but I've got my rings done so far.

Since I can now actually get them, I've started mining the Umbral Rock I need for my pick upgrade. I've been averaging 2-3 HQs per node, so I've got a ways to go, but it's still faster than fishing up Silver Sovereigns.

Imagine what it will be when you hit 110! Believe it or not, off of an Astral III Firestarter proc, my 109 blm crits for 2600 - 2900. Can't wait until the next patch when I can see the fabled 3k. Smiley: grin

I always end up with tons of toadskins in Larkscall in East Shroud, where you do the mid-rank Sylph Tribe Quests. Those toads spawn quickly and shed their skins readily for me.

With Soldiery capped and another unweathered WHM piece done, I've been grinding Atmas again. This time I'm counting: in two nights I've done exactly 88 FATEs in LLN without an Atma drop. And that's counting only top-rank performances where the FATE succeeds. At least I got to pick up a Brickman minion in the meantime, and learned the true meaning of Puff-Puff.
