Translation Summary by Angelica Davila/Magnesium02 on Lodestone
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/194016-TGS-Live-Letter-Discussion
Super Brief summary of translation - based on cygneakrou's translation. subject to human error

Topic 1: Housing
Same response as forum posts

Topic 2: Sands and oil are so much easier
New tomestones are coming soon. Let people catchup to i110 as soon as they can to be ready

Topic 3: Can we get Nexus values in numbers rather than vague terms every 200
No. Working as intended

Topic 4: New dyes?
Will be available in 2.4. Ingredients come from retainer ventures

TOpic 5: Easter eggs like emoting to minions have special effects
Yoshida doesn't know them all himself. Not all might even be found. He thinks they are fun.

Topic 6: 2.4 title
Talked about reasons for calling it

Topic 7: New Dungeons
Snowcloak. Sastasha (Hard), Qarn (Hard) me: Yay Snowcloak. Yay Sastasha. OMG NOOOO Qarn. Snowcloak music is pretty

Topic 8: Shiva Instance
Instance is called "The Ahk Afab Amitheatre". Will be Hard and Extreme. You can fall down but there are steps to get back up! Arena is SUPER pretty

Topic 9: Shiva Info
Will be party of Main Scenario. Dunno ilvl but most likely weapons.

Topic 10: Will there be a new Primal Focus quest
No plans at moment, but is interesting.

Topic 11: New Class Job - Rogue/Ninja
Ninja poisions/dot do NOT work like how we currently understand Dots. Combos are also different.

Topic 12: Any special requirements for Ninja?
You can't choose Rogue as a starter class. You have to get another battle class to 10. Not revealling the cross class skills. But sneak will NOT be able to be used by other jobs

Topic 13: Throw
No ability called Throw. Their policy is no class will have a consumable that can run out (i.e. arrows, Shuriken)

Topic 14: Coil #3
Will be the last coil. Savage mode maybe in 2.5. Haven't decided.

Topic 15: Coil story
Eventually coils will be redundant content so harder for newbies to complete. Might look into ways for people to get story without doing it after coil storyline is wrapped up

Topic 16: Weddings
Planned to be ready for 2.4. Don't call it Marriage! It is Eternal Bond!

Topic 17: Can you port to your partner?
You will have a chocobo instead

Topic 18: The Ixali Gloves are weak!
Ixali quests were designed for new crafters not existing hardcore crafters, so gloves aren't OP

Topic 19: Add routette for CT?
May make Labyrinth of Ancients clearable by smaller parties. Also lower dungeons could be come solo.

Topic 20: Complaint about frontline teams starting with different numbers (i.e. one GC at disadvantage)
No plan to change as would mean longer queues

Topic 21: Please increase Levi Mirror drop
Maybe

Topic 22: "Savage" Primals?
It would be hard to make somthing more difficult than extreme

Topic 23: Wolves Den Matching
Frontlines is more popular. Gonig to try to make wolves den more interesting to get more numbers. Adding a PvP rankign system

Topic 24: 2.4 summary
New class, Shiva, 3 new dungeons, New housing wards, New MSQ, New Hildebrand, 3rd Coil, New tomestone type, Pvp change, Ilvl increase

Topic 25: Stuff
Uhh just talking about coming events and stuff.

Topic 26: Delivery Moogle Plushie!
New moogle plushie toy (like the original moogle, but with maibag and hat) cute! but probably JP store onry -.-

Uhh, talking about ticket availability and stuff.

Topic 28: Soundtrack

Dang, it was a good time to come back to ff14 after all, this is looking so good.

Now if they added SAM, it`d be perfect.

They need to shake things up a bit. This is starting to get boring. Patch is released. Spam 3 new dungeons, cap tomes for the week. Rinse and repeat for 3 months. Then we got 3 more dungeons to spam to cap tomes. Throw in a raid you can do once a week and some misc quests. I hope the expansion breaks out of this pattern and gives us more things to do.
#7REDACTED, Posted: Sep 22 2014 at 2:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If all you care about is ilvl (as it sounds like) then I doubt anything will change. It's not in SE's nor the players best interests to make people do content they didn't care about in the first place (unless there is an ilvl carrot dangling above the content, in which case the content is still secondary).

It's a bit sad tbh.

I'm curious what you mean by the highlighted quote.

#9REDACTED, Posted: Sep 22 2014 at 4:26 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you're not going to play the contents outside the ilevel boost then you didn't really care for the contents in the first place. Even moreso when you play only X content because then you don't "have to play the game" more than the bare minimum amount of time it takes to cap ilevel for the week.

They sneak some new things in once in a while.
Ninja is being added though and to some that can be pretty big..
Hunts were a nice additions too a while back.

For the most part I have to agree it basic cookie cutter release for the most part again. 3 new dungeons, a raid, shuffle around DF, new tomes for new gear and a new primal. rinse and repeat.

Other than ninja and weddings that's the only thing different from previous releases and looking at that it got pushed too 2.45 now.

Still no answer that I saw about sharing housing.

You can preview these right now when you preview the dye on your current gear (looks like a circle with a rainbow inside). Right now, there are four new dyes. Jet Black, Pure White, Silver, and Gold. And they all look as cool as they sound. Silver cashmere robe of casting, you will be mine. Bet the materials will drop from ilvl 90 retainer ventures. Already got my acn retainer to 90, working on the mrd. I'll start back up my venture farm next patch.

And new tomestones ALWAYS means new gear (probably ilvl 120). So be prepared for that. And if they are going to follow the patterns of the past (which I suspect they will) SE will likely remove the once per week restriction on second coil, remove the once per week restriction on ST, do away with myth tomes (and make them tradeable for soldiery) and remove the soldiery tome restriction.

Very excited for all of this to happen. Really want to catch up my black mage and start playing more on dragoon. Also, given that all this current gear is good enough for beating Coil 2, I'm stoked for the weekly coil progression cap to be lifted.
