Weekly Goals and Accomplishments 10/10 - 10/16Follow

#1 Oct 10 2014 at 6:44 AM Rating: Excellent
It's one week before Fan Fest, for those of you who are going, which brings us ever closer to Patch 2.4 on the horizon.

What would you like to do this week?

1. BRD to 40. Once RG/NIN drop, getting a queue as a DPS is going to be rather painful. Need to knock out some more of this while I still can.
2. Usual stuff - cap soldiery, get ST sand, etc. I'm at ilvl 105 now on BLM and out of pieces I can upgrade, so I need more soldiery, but WHM still has quite a few pieces that could stand some help - including boots, which need sand. So yeah.
3. I would like to beat Titan Ex before I go to fan fest. I've been practicing Titan HM on my SCH and I think I am ready. GAME FACE Smiley: mad

Lets see:

1. Coil T6-T8, get loot, hopefully bard gloves, belt or ring.
2. Coil T9 , progress to the divebombs.
3. Convince my retainers to bring me back some gold or silver dye so I can shiny up my bohemian coat. (Out of 20 tries, I receive 2 pots of pure white dye... bleh)
4. I'm at 507 / 2000 light on the Nexus. I would like to see 600 by Tuesday of next week. I'll tank Frontlines when I have time.
5. Next week, cap soldiery and buy the bard gloves and upgrade to ilvl 110 if they don't drop in T6. Got a sands from ST just for that purpose.

This weekend I'm running a garage sale Saturday and will be watching Walking Dead on Sunday, so it will be a challenge to see how much game time I can fit in.

I am going to do mainly crafting and gearing my BRD.
I have enough for my Rosenbogen for BRD.
I want to start blacksmith.
Get goldsmith to 50, I am at 48.

Keep pushing on MNK, and keep pushing on quests. The former means keeping Soldiery capped, thrashing out relic books, and hitting some hunts; the latter means running a lot of new dungeons and trials for the first time. Pretty much what I've been doing this last week, and will be doing for some weeks to come.

As a side thing, go back to doing some fishing, and level BLM, SMN, and WVR. And revisit those poor neglected beast tribes.

I got completely bummed out...

I had been grinding the Ixali quests. Got some more paint at rank 5... and was REALLY looking forward to getting my mount at Rank 6... but... the shop doesnt change... apparently you dont get it till rank 7... which was such an incredible disappointment for me. Grinded my *** off, got my rank up, and nothing ever got unlocked on my rank up :/ Now i have to do -another- 1320 points before i can get my Mount ._.; I was sure the mount and the regular minion were at Rank 6 and the special minion was at Rank 7... ._. But urgh...

Havent felt like playing much since.

My monk went from 44 to 45 in a week time >.> Just 5 more levels and i'm done... So hard to keep focus.

Got my Forager's Dolobra and used it to get my 99 Antumbral Rock. The demimateria I'll need to get the Supra pick is about 3 million gil to buy. I have the money, but I'm against paying for things I can do myself, so I've started leveling Desynthesis on my Goldsmith. Almost up to 60 now. I'm not looking forward to the last twenty levels. By all accounts, they are going to be a painful grind.

I also grabbed a sand out of ST and a couple more Alexandrite.

Got my Rosenbogen..
Got blacksmith to 16.
Got alchemy to 15.
Got Goldsmith to 50.
Got a couple levels in fishing, weaving, cooking and carp.

Did a lot of mining and crafting to make some money since I spent almost all my money on materia for my relic.

1. No bard gear... again. T6-8 down in an hour and 12 minutes, got tank belt, a sands, and a uat. Not a bad haul, especially since I've been spending 10 allied seals for 5 ventures over and over and over again to satisfy goal 3.

2. Got to divebombs once. Thunderstruck is a ridiculous mechanic. It needs an icon like divebombs or conflags. Beat my head against the t9 wall for 6 hours this weekend. That said, golems are automatic.

3. Retainers brought me 12 pots of pure white, 2 pots of jet black, 4 pots of silver, and 0 pots of gold. Bohemian coat is shiny.

4. At 562 so far. Sooooo painful.

5. Goal completion expected by week's end.

I've been pretty heavily leveling various crafting stuff lately. Last week I hit 50 on CUL, this week I took the time to farm up the ingredients for the outfit and crafted that. I also leveled my Goldsmith Desynthesis to just over 75 and made about 600k gil from selling off the Demimateria I didn't need. Then I immediately lost most of that money trying to cap out my melds on the CUL gear. I didn't quite cap it, I got sick of losing 15k gil every time a 13% meld would break. Getting ten of those in a row really sucks. Anyway, now I can make HQ Spicy Tomato Relish somewhat reliably. I'll probably need to get the new pan and specs before I start farming specs for the Demimateria I need to finish my Supra tools.

I also got lucky and zoned into Coerthas just in time for a quick Behemoth. Got gold, so I took the spear and used to glamor over that stupid looking Liberator. I kind of miss the glow effect, it had a subtle heat wave thing going for it, which was much less offensive than most of the glowing weapons. The spear itself though, was just too ugly to keep it that way.

Regarding the Issue with Quick Exploration Ventures

Hello everyone. This is FFXIV Producer/Director Yoshida.

I’d like to explain a little bit about an error that occurred during a recent update, which led to metallic gold dye failing to drop in quick exploration ventures. The update was intended to make all the rare dyes drop with equal probability, but due to a programming error, the last line of data failed to trigger. As the metallic gold dye came at the end of the list, this meant that it couldn’t be obtained. I’m really sorry about this.

I know a lot of you were excited about playing around with the dyes, and spent a lot of ventures sending out your retainers to find them.

By way of apology, we’ll be sending all players with active subscriptions, including internet café-only subscriptions, four pots of metallic gold dye via the Moogle Delivery Service. (This applies to full accounts only. Unfortunately, players with free trial accounts will not receive this letter.)

We’ve addressed the problem on our end, and the QA team is currently making sure everything works as it should. We’re planning to release a hotfix to correct the issue on Thursday, October 16. We’ll send out the pots of dye via the Moogle Delivery Service at the same time. As soon as we can confirm when the issue will be fixed, or when the letters will be sent, we’ll post it in Topics straight away.

Please note that this is the first time we’ve implemented this method of drop randomization. None of these changes affect drop calculations for other items, which we’ve verified to be working as intended.

I apologize again for this error, and hope the gift will go some way to making up for the problems it caused.

Thank you for your continued support of FFXIV.

Double whammy! Got my BLM's i110 weapon AND killed Titan Ex with Dark Embers (Balmung)...twice! Finally cleared that dang quest!

So, I leave you all with the brain-poison I gave them...

Flying off the stage with his landslides,
Draining my life with his plumes,
Killing me softly with his stomps,
Killing me softly,
With his stomps,

Draining my whole life,
With his plumes,
Killing me softly,
With his stooooooooooomps.

You're welcome.

He beat me to it. Our FC Finally got past Titan Ex tonight. A few more wins and we'll have the run open for the rest of our member to get help completing that rather nasty fight!

Got BRD to 40. With the announcement of changes to myth tomes, I'm going to double time and try to get as much myth gear as I can for it.

Tried Titan Ex a few times, failed every time through no fault of my own. Tried to make my own Titan Ex clear party, nobody nibbled.

SIGH
