Have they? My miner shows it needs gathering 408 to do the field exploration XV.

I've been sending out my Miner on XVs. Always brings back one.

I have heard that XIV-XV fishing waterside exploration has a small chance to bring back the new "Fat Cat" minion.

One has been sold on Lamia for a million gil. I think the person who sold it is probably regretting not making it 10 mil, since it may be pretty rare and there is HUGE demand now.

So! Send your fishers out and see what cats they drag in!

11/10/14 Update

Some updated information from my recent XV ventures. Got my first minion from XV, then promptly got it again. RNG is strange. Too bad the minion is a recycled one. Was hoping for something new. Maybe there are two different kinds? Also noticed that my arcanist seems to only bring back dodore wings, while the marauder only brings back Uraeus skins. If that is the case, it will be the first noted difference between the fighting and magic class retainers. Usually they dip from the same pool. I may separate out my final totals into two groups if I find this to be the case.

11/17/14 Update - Was wrong about uraeus skin and dodore skin being potentially exclusive to a particular class. It appears that any battle class can receive both. Removed the itemized list and included only the last two entries (for my own reference) and the percentages.

Yes, they are XV field exploration ventures for a ilvl 90 marauder and ilvl 90 arcanist. I am not reporting on XV ventures for gathering classes.

The retainer fantasia is not exclusive to XV. I picked up one from my level 40 THM retainer the other day.

I can confirm that the fishing does in fact give the Fat Cat. I have gotten 2 so far. Gave the first to my wife, who sold it for 6 mil. Sold my second for 10 mil (in less than 20 mins... I so under cut myself, and I was the only person on the board).

That is true, I found out that the assassin beta is obtained from desynthing one of the new big fish.

12/1/14 Update - Probably my last update. Think I've tapped this well. Gonna shift gears and put acn and mrd on quick ventures to get rarer items, and shift botanist and miner back to looking for 900k minions on field venture XIVs. The field XV for the acn and mrd is just not lucrative.
