was one of the chat tabs taken out?Follow
before 2.4 if you scrolled through chat there was more than just general, battle asnd event.. there was also one that showed text from NPCs or cutscenes in green.. I havent seen that at all anymore.. am i doin something wrong?

General/Battle/Event - are the 3 main ones you start out with. You can add more, but don't think there was one specific to what you mention as I've has the 3 default up and 1 i setup for shouts, say, emotes (all the silly stuff so I can read LS/FC chat's.). You might be able to setup a filter on one of them to do as you are mentioning but that I will let someone else guide you as I don't have a clue w/o being in game and looking at the settings.

You just described the "Event" tab.

the evnttab only shows server messages now at least for me
Check your chat settings and make sure you didn't accidentally turn it off. NPC text was appearing just fine for me last night.
