Well I know what I am working on but I am not sure what I will actually finish.
I finally got Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard) and last night one shotted The Stone Vigil (Hard).
So one last phase for this leg of the relic and on to the final phase.
Would like to help Tesee get her Lucis for carpentry.
I would like to get my lucis for miner but I may be short on seals. Almost have all my Antumbral Rocks requires (116,000 GC seals for Magicked Oilcloth and moonstones) ouch. Magicked Oilcloth make no sense on a gathering job to me.
I would like to craft a few artisan offhands.
I want to pick a few cards this weekend too..
Lots too work on not sure any of it will be finished 100 percent.

2/27-3/1 Goals

1. On 3/12 for paladin zeta. Keep pushing
2. On 1/12 for bard zeta. Keep pushing.
3. Rank up in the cards. Need to have 30 cared, I maybe have 15. Keep getting the same drops over and over and over. I really need to be able to give Bahamut a full suite of 2 star backup.
4. Run a few choco races. Did one and finished third. Bleh. I'll wait till the feed prices drop (if ever)
5. Need WoD drop for the week still. Honestly, all I need is the blm coat. I'm to the point where I will greed on monk / nin / drg chest. Bard and tank outgear WoD.

3/2-3/5 Goals.
6. On 3/12 for paladin zeta. Keep pushing
7. On 1/12 for bard zeta. Keep pushing.
8. Tower quest and poetics. Need to upgrade tank pants with the twine, and buy tank gloves with the poetics. After that, only one more poetic purchase for tank (120 ring) and he is done. Next will be caster.
9. Maybe look for a static on Tuesday.

For me, just more of the same. Last two weeks have seen both characters make leaps and bounds advancing in their respective directions, and I don't plan on changing anything I'm doing because apparently it's working (and fun).

It's become clear that the Demon Tabard of Aiming is going to taunt me in XIV like the Moldavite Earring did in FFXI.

0/20 runs for seeing it even drop. 0/4 for this week and counting. I'll settle for the gloves if they drop but this is getting ridiculous.

Edit: Greeded and won the BLM hat - and the tabard still did not drop, much to the disappointment of the other BRD in the party. But now my BLM looks kind of epic.

Accomplished a lot in the last week since reactivating.

- Leveled NIN to 50 from mid 30s.
- Got Relic to Zenith, grinding Atmas now.
- Burning through the main storyline (left off at Utima Weapon, nearly finished with Defenders of Eorzea now)

And finally...
- While grinding for soldiery tome gear I bought the wrong neckpiece Smiley: mad

It's good to be back. I'm enjoying the game a lot more at this point for whatever reason. My goal is to finish all current content before Heavensward.

We got Tes her lucis for carpentry on Saturday! went pretty well.. About 1/2 the fails as the last lucis...
We crafted a couple artisan off hands for us and some friends.
Sunday I had to do taxes and was also feeling sick, ended up sleeping a few hours. Still got my master crafting book 2 and supra for goldsmith.
Tes got her master craft book 2 for leather and her Supra.
So on too Lucis for goldsmith and for Tes on leather.

Dude. 16/54. I went 16/110. I am thinking 30 minutes per dungeon, so I'm calling SE. I want a life refund for those 25 hours I didn't have to spend.

Weekend Update:

This weekend I played cards. A lot of cards. I think in numbers now. I was mostly on the Vita playing Triple Triad while my wife and I watched TV and movies and did some early spring cleaning. I ran very little in the way of dungeons, and it shows. I don't want to rush this zeta phase. Now that I have the 130 bow and I'm not too concerned about a static right now, the motivation is negligible. Pretty much it is just to cap and look cool.

1. 5/12 on paladin zeta. Almost to 6.

2. 2/12 on bard zeta. Just started 2.

3. I did rank up in the cards, and decided to keep rolling on. After 30 cards obtained, I got the ability to add unlimited 2 star cards to the decks. I made an ascension deck (5 beastman) and descension deck (all cards without types), a strong 7 deck with positional weakness (which I use most often in normal matched), and a more balanced deck that works well against weak opponents, but is terrible against the harder ones (looking at you Swift Smiley: glare).

So now I am at 45 cards. I'm 15 away from 60, and the ability to add unlimited 3 star cards to my deck and become pretty much unstoppable. I've only seen a few with the deck hoarder title. I want that. Deck Holder isn't nerdy enough for me. But I took both cards from Swift and his stupid three eorzea-hour window, took all three from the imperial soldier in mor dhona, and took both from zeb and his descension rules. I'm ready for this tournament.

In addition, since I beat all the opponents (well 30 is all I needed) I got an achievement that netted me a Squall card. Helps a lot!

4. I ran 0 chocobo races. I'll leave that to Kat to be our resident choco-race master. My lock on the lotto is terrible. Haven't won more than 200 on a single scratchoff.

5. I won the dragoon chest in WoD. I'm actually pretty happy about it. Dragoon looks 15x cooler. Also won the healer chest drop in a random ak hm I ran with Ikaru, so I glamoured it over the soldiery healer coat for my whm and sch, and my healer no longer looks like a tool.

Also, with so many people in the casinos, prices are low again. Buy low, sell high. Or buy low and play materia lotto. That's what I've been doing. Wish my luck was better, but I can't complain. Every now and then I check in and one of my wootz weapon pieces sold. That's a nice boost. This week will be doing all the standard capping stuff (which will also level the zetas), and get that Deck Hoarder status. Must have deck hoarder status!

More of the same, and the good stuff keeps coming.

On Verdha, she's not keeping Poetics completely capped, but still advancing nicely: got the MNK hands drop from WoD, i117 and rising. Extra soldiery is going into Alex maps, hit the non-100% infuse on both tier IIIs now. She has a lot of IIIs stored up from bonding and catching them when the market was low, so going to carry those percentages down as low as she can before being forced kicking and screaming into IVs. Chocobo about half way through rank 16, and through restocking her crafting item for sale inventory, her gil is finally back over 1 million again.

Waenlona has SCH and WHM at 36 and completed level 35 job quests (yay, Regen!), both re-geared with almost all HQ with a couple of Aetherials. Got to know the FC personalities a bit deeper, advanced the storyline some more, and took THM to 9 while spamming low level Ul'dah quests and completing the 1-10 hunting log. She still really dislikes Ul'dah, and (unlike Gridania) doing quests for its citizens hasn't improved her outlook on it.

I do wish I could buy IVs on Balmung and have Waenlona ship them over to Verdha on Lamia: they peak around 400k on Balmung, but have topped 650k on Lamia and showing no signs of getting cheaper. Going to need to spam spiritbonding above my usual weekly 100-mobs-for-Raindrop session.

Edit: Oh, and Waen had a big shock at low THM when a level 3 Snapping thing linked to the level 12 Giant Tortoise. Didn't think a low level would link to a much-higher-than-character level mob like that.

Done.

Starting from Yoshimitsu Zenith about 2 months ago, I now have Sasuke's Blades Zeta and a splitting headache. It is absolutely time for a break from NIN. I might pick up SCH or BRD and level that a bit (both are in their low 30s), I might play some card games, I might stare blankly at a wall for a week. The possibilities are endless.

It's a curse i tell you.

I havent been in a dungeon in over two weeks.

First i started my new job, then with the prospected funds i got Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (awesome!), i also ordered the "new" (sorry, didnt have money when it came out) Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn. And now we also got chocobo racing.

It's a real struggle to motivate myself enough to get something done in the game.

This week i'll stick to easy goals then:

- Cap Poetics
- Gear the crap out of BLM on Soldiery
- Run WoD for a blm/brd/nin drop and the roulette to upgrade PLD with twine.
- Get PLD's new Relic quests started (and done with?)

I think one of the funniest things about chocobo racing is how drunk an untrained bird feels once you've played with a trained one. Kind of makes sense - it's up to you to teach the bird how to race, although considering all the food I've given mine, he should be the size of Fat Chocobo at this point.

Well, it has certainly been a week. I was unable to get most of what I wanted last week due to a combination of Triple Triad and some drama with a (now ex-)friend.

Notable Things:
-Made my first 3 star item (just a furnishing for a good friend as a going away gift)
-Got to 53 cards
-Finished the 1st two verses of this parody

What I'd like to do this week:
-Get Demon Sandals of Healing (Last item I want for WHM until the expansion)
-Cap tomes and get PLD a new piece (debating whether or not to get carbontwine or coat for PLD this week)
-Finish Video with FC
-Finish script for parody
-Get to 60+ cards (I only have 4 left in the world to collect from NPCs, as far as I know).
-Enter the Tournament of Champions

I'm super stoked about the Tournament.

Valk, just a heads up: All the GC commanders have 3 cards (Scion, Primal, GC Leader) iirc. The imperial in Mor Dhona has 4 cards (The Garleans).

http://a-realm-reblog.com/arrtt/npc-location I've been using this site to help me pick up the stragglers (I started having trouble finding cards at around 47). It hasn't made it much easier since I need one from a Random NPC and one each from the GC commanders (GC leader cards) as well as most of the trial drops. Anyway, I thought it might help.

Should have edited the post to reflect, but I found out a few days ago that I still needed to get Gaius. Lists I was using weren't all the way populated. Haven't tried Gaius yet because the GC serpent commander won't hand over the goods. The one from Swift I still need is Alphinaud & Alisaie, but I can also get that from Joellaut in Whitebrim so I'll just get it there.

So I'm at 46 right now, rearranged the house in rl last night so I'm pretty screwed in my hopes of winning the tournament, but I hear people are selling wins and it is rigged anyway.

I still need Titan (from Tratchoum in LLN or Landenal in south shroud), Alphinaud & Alisaie (from Swift or Joellaut in CCH), Behemoth (from a bronze pack, Sezul in north shroud, or Ourdilic near Snowcloak), Papalymo & Yda (from the serpent GC commander or Buscarron), Ramuh (from serpent GC commander), Garuda (from Marcette in central shroud), succubus (from Piralnaut in east shroud), Odin (from Landenel in south shroud), and Gaius.

That is 9, well 8 if I dont try for 300 wins to have a random shot at Gaius. That would put me at 54.

Then I still need ahriman from DD, Tonberry from WP, sagahin from sastasha, siren from pharos (0/1 there), demon wall from ak, shiva from hm or ex, onion knight from wod, chimera from cutters cry. That is 8 more there that could get me to 64.

Then there is lahabrea and Kobold, which are silver card pack wins, and warrior of light and zidane which are both gold pack wins. Nanamo is 400000 and cloud is 1 million, so no thanks. All 6 of those unlikely cards would put me at 70. So I still have room to pick and choose. I got some tough ones already (King Mog, Hildebrand, Gilgamesh, Ultima, Bahamut) that people are having trouble getting, so hopefully I just need to play a bit more and I'm there.

Still, I wish I had more time to play lately. It's killing me.

Since the new season of House of Cards came out, I spent time finishing that.

I continue to have bad luck with the Zodiac weapon drops. Valk, if you want the tonberry card, you should come with me on runs of WP.

Finished another book for my Thyrus. Between EX Roulettes and attempting to get drops for my Nexus, soldiery isn't a problem.

On the other hand, I did get the Ifrit, Momodi and Tonberry cards, so my not-yet-10-cards-collection has some pretty nice ones!

Spent most of yesterday playing disc golf as a team building exercise with the office, then going with them for dinner and drinks, then watching anime for a few hours with friends.

Didn't even log on until after my normal pumpkin time, so my big accomplishment last night was playing mini cactpot and refreshing the ventures on my retainers and tracking down Sang Petro from another thread on the forums here :)

Just gonna finish the raids I haven't done this week and next, finish up the main storyline and then chill out til Heavensward. Maybe.. maybe, I'll work on my Relic weapon chain but so far I've had s*** luck collecting Atmas and frankly the payoff doesn't seem worth the grind at this point.

Update:

6. Now on 7/12 for paladin zeta. Just started #7 yesterday.
7. On 3/12 for bard zeta. Just started #3.
8. Upgraded tank pants with twine, bought tank gloves with poetics. Won the tank coat from WoD (awesome glamour).
9. I got approached for a static on Tuesday. Wasn't really looking. They were going Wednesday. Had a new tank and new whm that kept messing up. One dps was a little low. We couldn't beat t10. I might stick with them, but they aren't really establishing schedules and trying to go every day, and that doesn't really work for me. You either get it or you don't ya know?
10. Got to 56 cards. Almost there. Still have 2 I can win from silver (Lahabrea, Kobold), and 2 I can win from gold (warrior of light, zidane) but my luck on those has been dismal (even won mini cactpot and bought 10 silver packs and got nothing special). So I'm left running WP, DD, sastasha, pharos, cutter's. big keep, dragon's neck, shiva and mog. Gaius is literally the only card I have left to get from actually playing cards against NPCs that I haven't already obtained.

Verdha picked up another carbontwine last night for MNK iLvl 118, and finished up all the Tier III Alex infuses and applied the three IVs she's been saving. I can't believe Tier IV infuses started so early -- I was going to carry all those IIIs down into the 20-30% chance range but that isn't an option. That means it's going to be grind, grind, GRIND on the spiritbonding because at 600k+ a pop those IVs aren't going to buy themselves.

Seriously, 6m gil to finish this stage? I don't make a lot of gil, this is going to be an awesome pain to finish this stage. Makes me nostalgic for the pre-nerf Atmas, a month in East Shroud is miniscule compared with what it will take me to get those IVs. Grinding lights will be such a relief, especially since I can actually do it on the job the relic is for instead of whatever-spirit-bonds-fastest (hi, WHM!), and there can actually be some variety involved in the process.

(Yeah, I don't make gil easily. I know that makes me unusual. My business sense and luck sucks and I know it (last time I SOLD a car I talked the price DOWN $200) so I stick with moderate steady incomes that pay for my upkeep and not a whole lot more -- I spend a lot of it on HQ Apkallu Omlettes and HQ Pineapple Juice.)

On the Balmung hand, Waenlona finished off with THM15, not bad progress at all. More on that in the next thread.

Edit: I meant of course DOWN. Normal people talk the price up when selling.
