Japanese matome site listed bits & pieces from an interview with Yoshida at the Eorzea cafe. Not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet, a search didn't lead me to anything so I apologize if any repeat news. Here's a rough translation:

- Afro hairstyle in the works
- Bunny ears to be worn by male characters in the works
- Zodiac Weapon will not continue. Instead there will be a brand new weapon quest line but those using ZW's will have a slightly easier time. He didn't want to make it completely useless cause he finished a ZW weapon himself!
- There will be 4 types of airships made with FC crafting. Number of allowed ships will vary by rank, beginning with 4. Buying parts will be costly but if you have gatherers it won't be so bad. The hardest part won't be the building, but gathering materials from Ishgard.
- FC alliance coming in 3.0. It will have a teleport item similar to the eternal bond ring.
- They have plans to add housing in Ishgard but in 1-2 years at earliest. There's not enough land right now so they plan to work on that first. If you're not sure about spending money on housing just buy a large one now.
- Once you clear a certain quest your fat chocobo will fly
- Ahriman and Bomb mount (from Kobolds) as well as primal horses will all fly. First one to fly will be Kirin.
- If people voice their opinions loud enough the Goobbue might fly too?
- Requested armor & emotes will come in patch 3.1. More will be revealed on the next letter from the producer live.

If it doesn't stretch its arms out and fly like Superman, it'll be a huge missed opportunity.

The 1-2 years is housing in Ishgard, I would have to dig but I think more of the existing housing wards will be coming after 3.0.

It's low priority (thankfully) but yeah, the ishgard houing is the only thing that will fix the housing issue. They're adding more subdivisions to previous areas but those will also fill up quickly.

I'm so glad I snagged a house while I could, even if it is in The Goblet. I really love the housing wards, but the implementation was horrible... possibly the final holdover of SE hosting a party they thought nobody would come to.

Hopefully that's something they've gotten over going forward. It's getting annoying.

The "easier" time will probably be a .000001% increase in drop rate for whatever RNG grind they decide to implement.

A few nice things, it's a good that housing is a lower priority. Playable content and fixes is more important to keep the flow of the game going.

Things like houses is something that only pleases the few people who have the time to play with layouts and earn/craft/buy the furnishings and let's face it a house isn't something everyone can spend hours enjoying. Not everyone can afford it.

Hmm, well since such a big part of the expansion is supposed to be Airship crafting and that is done in the basement of houses I think it is pretty important though. Or did I understand it wrong and it is possible to do everywhere including house basements now?

The "Workshop" is the important thing, meaning they'll expect you to be in a FC with housing, which is also a good thing because it means not EVERYONE will have access to EVERYTHING off the bat, which is why, as stated by Yoshida himself, he's delaying Alexander Hard/Savage (depends on language) by a few weeks so the progression people can't push ahead.

So while it is important, he also mentioned that you can't do anything with the airships aside send em on "missions" in 3.0, so even if you build them..it serves no "real" purpose that they've talked about yet. Maybe in 3.1 or even 3.2..but 3.0 it's not so huge that EVERYONE will need a house with a workshop, kind of like how Chocobo Racing didn't become that big of a thing that everyone had to go out and do it.

Another thing to keep in mind is Heavensward will bring in FC alliances... so maybe it's time for FCs that didn't buy houses earlier to team up with other FCs that do.

I don't think people need to panic about being barred from airship content.

Well..... I guess I might as well stop bright farming and other relic grinding. Is it all prettymuch a waste of time at this point?

If you're working on your Nexus right now then you have enough time to finish your Zeta before HW launches. Since you can, you might as well.

We have no idea what the advantage will be for having a Zeta weapon, but we do know that nothing short of a Zeta weapon will convey it.

On a positive note: They wizened up and raised the Poetics cap to 900/week. It should be uncapped by now, but that's better than nothing.

upon further thinking I think the 1-2 years on housing in the new expansion areas is not correct cause if it is gonna be 1- 2 years down the road we gonna be talking about getting close to yet another expansion since most mmo's have a expansion every 2 years or so. Logically yea unless it comes out with the release I think it might be a out maybe half year or slight.y more but 1-2 years would be way to long

As opposed to adding housing space in the existing areas when everyone's in Ishgard?

I'm not a fan of the way they implemented this housing system, but the fact is they said a long time ago (and then several times after that) they weren't adding housing space in Ishgard right away.

I'd pick a flying Goobbue over my fat chocobo mount any day, I feel like a king when sitting on mine but it might not be fair to the new ppl , looking down on them from even greater heights.
