since 3.0 came out is there a food or ability that lets a level 50 crafter do a 100% rotation to craft the 3 star recipe books flawlessly 100% of the time without being based on "luck" on the ability to know what youre doing and have to craft manually because of RNG?

There's several new abilities that make it easier for sure. Though most of them involve getting "Good"s or "excellent" I find it much easier to craft. However I haven't gone back to try a 3 star synth yet but as far as I can tell most of the stuff post 55 are roughly the same or demand more then the master crafts barring some of the really high stuff. I am about to hit 60 tonight on Blacksmith. Eventually I'll be able to test the "heart of (Craft here)" ability to see how often it causes a "good". I can try to explain the very complicated "Whistle while you work" specialist move that can be a boon most of the time or be wasted CP occasionally.

I haven't touched crafting in a long, long time... I tip my hat to those who build the things.

Now my brain whirling about it. I'll go over the new abilities and you can decide for yourself

LVL 51 Byregrot's brow.(All classes get it at 51) 18 cp. 150% Efficiency to quality. increases 10% for each inner quiet counter. 70% success Can only be used on good or excellents. Removes all quiet counters
Notes: it's good for early "Excellents" or synths you just don't get Quiet up all that high. It's better until you have 6 Inner Quiet counters. It's also cheaper.
LVL 53 Precise touch (all classes get it) CP:18 100% Efficiency to quality. 70% success. Increases Inner quiet by 2. Can only be used on good and excellent. Notes: This move is downright sexy for getting your Quiet counters high.

Level54 are new cross class abilities. 6 classes get Names of (Element here) that increases that elements brand efficiency. Goldsmithing one description confusing so I can't comment until I have it to test. Culinarian get's a cheaper Piece by piece that can only be used on step 1.

Level 55 and above are all "Specialist" abilities. Although the same for every class you can only have 3 classes as specialist. As of right now there; no known way of changing after designating a class a specialty. Quest available at 55 just talk to two npcs to complete.

LVL 55 Whistle While You work. 36 CP Gives your 11 Whistle counters. For every good and excellent that appears. On the next step these counters go down by 1. If you reach 0 your character will automatically use a synthesis on the next step at 200% Efficiency.
Notes: very rare for me to get it that low.

LVL 55 Satisfaction:0 cp When your Whistle Counters are dividable by 3 you can use this ability.(9 6 3) and recover 15 cp.
Notes: Will net you 9 cp when it's all said and down. Even if you only get 30 CP back it's worth using it every time for the next couple abilities that work with it.

LVL 56 Innovative Touch: 8 cp. 100% Efficiency to quality. 40% success. Grants Innovation if successful.
Notes: very situational move. Always a gamble even with steady hand II.Nice way to get Inno in when using Waste not.

LVL 57 Nymeia's Wheel: 18 cp. Restores durability based on Whistle counters.(7-11 countes 10 dur. 4-6=20. 1-3=30.) Removes remaining whistle counters.
Notes: Extremely efficient way to restore durability although your not guaranteed the goods to knock the counters lower. It's also a great way to opt out of the 200% synth swing. Depending on the goods it can be a great extension to your synth.

LVL 58 Byregot's Miracle: 16 cp 100% efficiency to quality. Every Quiet counter increases it by 10%. 70% success. Halves your inner quiet counters.
Notes: Good for when you want to get your quality up in a burst but still have quiet left over to ruminate. Also Good in conjunction with the next move.

LVL59 Trained Hand 32 cp. 150% efficiency. Increases both Quality and Progress. Can only be used when Inner quiet and Whistle counters are the same. Increases Inner quiet by one upon use.
Notes: Sounds annoying but so helpful when you pull it off. You can also use miracle to drop your quiet low again without loosing it totally to pull this move off multiple times if desired. Extremely helpful on more demanding synths.

LVL60 Heart of (insert craft here): 45 cp. Increases the chance of getting a good this synth. Additional cost to use is an item obtain by training in collectible points that is consumed upon use.(Scrypts)
Notes Haven't gotten it yet so cannot comment on usefulness. Though the good rate better be high considering it costs CP, consumes an item and requires you to be a specialist.

Edit: It's also worth noting that at 55. You can buy gear and your main hand from a NPC(For gil for roughly around 100k for a full set without accessories.) thats better then anything you can get from ARR. Your Crafting job quests will give you your off hands for 55.

My next thing will be crafting, so I'm glad people are discussing it!

Every job was maxed out but well... off to 60 we go!
