I remember in teh ARR huting days ppl would say doing hunst you could asily cap soldiery once or twice in a day...

could teh same be said abou HW hunts? could you cap law onec or twice after doin them for a day or get enough centurio seals to get at least galf of a il180 set (or a full set even) in a day?

The hard part is getting enough people to actually kill the things. Since Alexander exists people don't really care about hunts any more. S ranks are still a big deal but As often sit there untouched for ages because no one gives a damn.

If you had reached the HW content near or at launch, the answer would have been yes, but now....

Since they put the upgrade items for law gear into the law vendor, and as mentioned, Alexander being easily farm able even in DF, no one does hunts, at all. I was looking for my B rank in Sea of Clouds yesterday, found both A's unclaimed and with no one around. All the hunt link shells are dead or dying, people just don't care enough to do hunts at the moment. When they inevitably introduce the Eso upgrade items into hunts, it will pick up again, but for now, better spam the 2 expert dungeons and your roulettes like everyone else, hunts is a dead end.

well you need 700 law for upgrading armor and fractal or neaverreap aren't exactly "bray flox hard fast" so farming law would take MUCH longer, as far as doing alex.. dont you need the il180 gar to even go in there and do well to begin with)?

I would think PvP is the best way to farm tomes if you are worried about iLevel, and the PvP route is pretty fun, especially when you land in a good group. Otherwise, it isn't hard to do well in fractal or Nvrreap.

What is the iLevel for Alex? That is also easy, especially if you just do the first few floors.

Bottom line is you don't need hunts right now... There are so many better ways to get tomes.

PVP route is fun, but given the queue times, you're probably looking at less than 50 tomes per hour.

It's much faster to do the roulette and if ilvl permits, singularity reactor spam. I despise PvP in this game, but honestly, Law tomes rain on you from every content now, bonus for all of the alts people are taking through content now.

Alex normal gear is 190. By now, at least one "main" job can be fully tricked out in a mix of eso + alex gear, making law gear + upgrades obsolete.

That's not to say that law gear + upgrades isn't still necessary for any secondary jobs (still slowly applying upgrades to my WAR, for example) but most people aren't insane like me and have four classes they're trying to fully kit out, either.

Law isnt obselete because if you just finished story your il isnt high enough to enter alex so you need law for that and with eso you take 2 weeks to get one piece due to caps so that would take months so until then you do need law

With hunts being the way they currently are, the fastest (read: only) way for you to get Law is to dungeon run the 3 dungeons which give Law. Once you hit the ilvl requirement, mix some Alexander in so you can get Law/Eso/drops at the same time. If you REALLY don't want to do dungeons, the lvl 60 solo maps also give Law, but on my server they are 30k a pop for 10 Law, and you could easily earn more Law in the time just by doing dungeons. They are your options Duo, none are particularly fast, but guess what? We all had to deal with it :D

I had enough law tomes by the time I finished the msq to immediately get my i170 weapon. It really isn't hard to farm law. As Cat says, the game rains them upon you.

Lately I've been using the Law I get from my daily experts to build gear sets for jobs that aren't even 60 yet.

Pretty confident I'm getting enough Law to get along without having to go to extraordinary lengths to farm them.
