It's that time again, post your plans!

My goals:

1. Buy warrior pants, save rest of eso for hat/boots/gloves

2. Well, my Bard is a chestpiece and an accessory short of being complete for alex, so honestly... I'm about done here. I have no interest in healer attire, and when I found myself buying the 190 healer hat (well, crown) last week I realized that the fight is over. I've gathered the tank, caster, slaying, and almost the entire bard/mcn sets. The new 24 man mission will reward ilvl 120, and I don't even think I will have time to get four shafts by then. I am officially done with alex after the next bolt.

3. Try Ramuh for the purple horse when I have the patience.

4. Keep leveling MCN. Almost at 52. I'm losing steam. Hope the next patch puts in a process to get xp faster, like they did with the challenge log at one point. Hanging out with the Eikon bots in North Thanalan because they are literally the only ones still leveling is getting to be a heartbreaking experience.

I'm doing RL things tonight and tomorrow so my time will be limited. (Annual Great Pumpkin Carving party at a friend's house tomorrow. Drunken adults wielding knives, kids covered in pumpkin guts, and too many excited dogs!) Also hoping to get in a round of disc golf this afternoon.

So I'm going to keep things simple and:
- Cap esoterics
- Continue slow, slow progress on my crafters. GSM hit 59 and will get 60 at the next GC turn in, so let's aim for GSM 60. Everything else will come as it comes.
- Break 3 million gil again
- MCH 55 would be a "nice to have"

My presentation this morning went really well and I'm now the hero of the clinic I did it at since I'm giving them a robust reminder card system AND I brought them pumpkin bread. Never underestimate the power of baked goods when reviewing software design.

I'm also hoping to cap ESOs over the weekend... will be my first time capping them in quite awhile.

I'd also really like to settle on a second job to take to 60. I'm just not really feeling anything yet... at this point I'm torn between bard, drg, nin and blm.

Very productive weekend!

- Finally decided to stick with bard as my primary second job. Leveled from 50-52 yesterday, and am eager to do a dungeon later. I'm open to any guides from you about being a good bard post-3.0... I looked up some stuff and completely redid my hotbar. I'll never do savage-level stuff, so I know I don't need to be eeking out ultra-max dps, but I'm also going to try really hard not to suck in other content.

- Capped ESOs... haven't done that in awhile!

- Helped four new FC members clear Bismark story-mode.

Other than that, just chatted and reacquainted myself with the FC. Was great seeing so many people online, even with such a lull in the content. Everyone is excited about FC airship explorations, and we're working hard to finish a second airship before the patch hits.

At the recommendation of a FC member, I decided to grind CUL to 60.

I promptly blew a million and a half gil on my level 60 base crafting gear. I haven't done the melds yet (going to do them all myself) but the goal is 360 CP in addtion to whatever craftsmanship and control is required for the Master III books. That same FC member has a bullet proof rotation that requires 360 CP without Tricks of the Trade. Right now I'm eating Pea Soup to get to 365, but if I get my CP squared away then I can eat another food to boost the other stats if necessary.

Why cul? What are ya crafting? I've personally been hoarding one particular resource lately because I saw something in the live letter that made me think that one particular thing is going to become very valuable in 3.1. The more I'm reading about the FC travelling to different lands to do awesome stuff and battle large dinosaurs, I'm getting extremely excited for an endgame that doesn't involve a formal raid environment. Count me in on the trips! We need to set up times and dates for our group airship travels so everyone can plan to make it. I'm hearing that we can bring in all three airships full of three parties of 8, so we can get everyone involved. Sounds a lot like FFXI and I dig it.

Red scrips items. CUL is one of the cheaper jobs to use to farming red scrips (compared to GSM or LTH or ARM or BSM anyway.)

Ah, that makes sense. I rejected the scrips system in favor of my sanity.

1. Pants bought, saving and building. Hoping to be at least 195 when the new 24 man dungeon comes out.
2. I've scrapped alex. I hate the fights, and when I heard that the restrictions are going to be cut, I decided not to run them anymore. I have pretty much all I need from there.
3. Haven't seen any Ramuh, but haven't been on much either.
4. MCN taking a back seat until patch. Going to do some serious leveling and airship venturing in 3.1, while working on the relics.

I found the crafting one to be far less annoying than the gathering ones. I can't stand timed nodes.

All plans derailed due to the creation of Magical Grandmother, an alt who is going to be my "who needs serious play let's be silly" character. An actual RP character too. Oh my.

I got grandma to level 15 in about four hours last night, and a FC friend (Juzelle) decked her out with some in character clothing.

She's mostly going to hang around the Limsa aetheryte and hand out cookies to newbies.

Resubbed to XI last night. :O

Going to try to finish Adoulin and Rhapsodies. I need to at least give it a shot.

Meanwhile, going to keep capping Eso's and leveling my bard.

Didn't expect to get much done this week, but it worked out pretty well in the end.

Waenlona got the short end of the stick this week, with real life stuff getting in the way of a lot of her time slots. Still, major progress on MSQ and other quests around the world, along with some nice exp. She's still well ahead in level progress relative to quests, but so short of gil that gearing up is along the quest level rather than job level. This time she spent most of it on Fishing gear, and finished off the last level 50 FSH quest.

Verdha finished MSQ final fight and all cutscenes last night, unlocked and ran Neverreap, unlocked Fractal Continuum, and rocked FSH all the way to 56. DoM jobs are lagging behind still, since she's saving the Roulettes to stack up on Tomes of Law for MNK, focussing on a Crit build. Something must be working, as a roulette Library lead to her having to watch the hate traffic lights like a BLM, ripping hate off the poor non-60 PLD even on his main mob at times. Rouletted a Titan HM for the first time in forever, and suddenly discovered she handles the bombs correctly without thinking about it or just running where everyone else does. Even beat Tataru once in Triple Triad, totally worth it just for her comments when she loses.

Not bad for a week when it seemed I was always too busy to log on. Smiley: smile
