I get it flying has been done before. Its fun for a while then you realize that it's ok, but kinda takes the fun out of somethings.

What I want is for the Chocobo in the Vanilla to be able to Jump super high! With realistic physics please.

If we're doing random thoughts. I want to see if they can re-incorporate some of the base motion animations from 1.xx. As someone who used to work in graphics, it would only take some inventive tweaking to make it work with our current motion system - and it would all be client-side processing, so it shouldn't really be an issue on PS4/PC running power ,and they can always leave it out of PS3.

I got another one. Should the game reward players for stealth? The actual lore for the game is all about setting distractions and getting to the boss for a one on one fight. But we as players don't have the ability to set up and plan the assault. Its always done for us. I guess I'm more describing Hitman than FFXIV but I thought it would be fun as a ninja to plan your own quest objectives.

You know, (another random thought) I always thought of the Final Fantasy worlds to actually have a weaker gravity than Earths. When you think of it that way, a lot of the physics actually align a bit better, or at least become more feasible. The longer throws, the higher jumps, the ability to use less force to stay in the air, and the ease of all these acrobatics.

It also explains why Lalafellan strength can become comparable to other races, as the curve is a lot softer than with ours. There's a lot of interesting things that happen to physics when you ***** with gravity - which we always see as a constant when we imagine physics.

That's interesting. I would agree but the strength they display while fighting does really show in the way they interact in other situations. Although they do survive from some really high falls.

Everyone does. And it makes sense. Lower gravity means lower impact pressure. You're also going to hit terminal velocity a lot slower than you would than at higher gravity, and the velocity itself would be at a lower speed, cause it would take less wind pressure to stagnate gravity's pull.

It's not an issue on the PS3 either, hell not even the PS2. It's an issue that yoshi wanted as little physics as possible to "enhance gameplay" as he stated during beta. Considering what the Luminious Engine can do as seen with the FFXV Vlogs, the branched "phoenix"(?) version they used for XIV should be able to no problem.

To this day I have no clue what is with the longing for those animations. Disregarding the fact we moved like tanks back in the day, every time a game features realistic inertia the end result is just cumbersome and annoying. At least I don't want to see my character do an exaggerated "stopping" animation every single time I stop moving. If the animations or physics in any way hinder my ability to control the character they are better off gone.

More importantly, since Hio is in favor of these physics it is more than enough reason to keep them as far away from this game as possible. Fortunately Yoshi-P uses a Hio-radar.

Different breeds of chocobos. They looked so cool in FF12:

Also, whoever designed the chocobos in 13 is an a**hole
