Some Questions from a New PlayerFollow

#1 Feb 08 2016 at 1:36 PM Rating: Decent
Greetings,

I started playing this game a few weeks ago, and enjoy it, but I have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answer to in my searches.

1) How long do most parties stay together at one time? Or how long does it typically take to clear let say a end-game dungeon? I typically have 3-4 hours max of play-time on a given night and I don't want to continue on if I am just going to **** off other players in a group by having to leave in say 2 hours.

2) My character is in the Server Behemoth, is there anything I need to know about this server in general, or is it a solid place to be for a new player like myself?

3) I'm playing on PS4 and have problems seeing the font since I typically sit a ways back. Is there anyway to adjust this, I could not find anything on the main setup.

4) I'm a level 15 arcanist currently, when it comes time to join parties will I have any issues getting people to play considering this is my first character?

If you have any other tips or advice I would appreciate it, I have watched some beginners guides for this game, so I'm not totally in the dark. Thanks for the feedback.

1 & 4: Parties for dungeons are typically formed by the game using the Duty Finder (if you haven't encountered this yet, you will shortly) and remain together for the duration of the dungeon. An endgame 4-man dungeon usually takes about half an hour. Some of them can be a little longer than others, it just depends on the dungeon. A leveling dungeon can sometimes take a little longer than that just because they tend to have more things to kill, it depends on the pace of the party. Two hours for a dungeon is a literal impossibility since dungeons have a hard timer of 90 minutes on them (barring really bizarre circumstances, I've never seen a dungeon actually take that long).

2: Behemoth is fine.

3: Someone else chime in with the PS4 solution to this?

1 - Regular dungeons generally only last 15-30 minutes, depending on which dungeon and how well geared the party is. This game is designed around being able to play in fairly small bites. Nothing takes hours and hours in one sitting.

2 - Servers are all pretty much the same. There's nothing really to say about them.

3 - I don't play on the PS4 so I can't answer this one. Try the HUD menu?

4 - The game has a dungeon party finder system so you won't have to find people yourself. You just queue up and the game will automatically group you with other people who want to do the same dungeon or boss. As for being new, people in this game are generally pretty nice and helpful. Just let the party know that you're new and this is your first time doing said dungeon/boss and most people will be glad to explain things and help you out.

For PS4: Options button > System > Character Configuration > Log Window Settings > Log Details.

Can change the font size of General, Battle, Event, and Free chats in there..
