I know full augmented lore isnt BiS for brd but since Ill never do Savage, what would be the correct/best way to meld every single piece of upgraded lore gear? I cant find any guides online except for BiS ones.
I had a similar issue with my paladin's lore gear.
Basically, I ignored accuracy and stuck with crit/det. I'll probably do the same for my bard. Maybe focus on crit > det > ss, in that order, but I'm not nearly as into playing on bard as I am pld.

Hm, well as I always say unless you're really going into end-game you don't have to worry too much about it, but BRD's main stat is Crit above all especially since the Rain of Death/Bloodletter change. So Crit where possible then Skillspeed. Det is ok but BRD tends to actually have a fairly decent Det/Accuracy build through lore and weeping city.
So that's why it's kind of hard to find a non BiS guide, especially for BRD, because it's almost similar to Final Coil days where you're actually going to use lower ilvl gear (Prototype Midan/Eikon) to hit certain steps on BRD, especially if you're not touching Savage.

except you can only put one mteria on each set of get and Im sure theres a cap sooo if I put crit in EVERYTHING surely id be well past that cap and have wasted materia putting crit in/on pieces that didnt need it right?
You can't waste materia. If slotting materia would put you over cap for a particular item the interface will tell you that.
I do wish it'd do a better job of telling you what the cap was to begin with so you aren't potentially wasting money, but what can you do.

Yeah, if you see all blue text, you're good!
If the materia modification you're about to do is in red text, then that means you're not getting the full meld because you're over the cap. The interface makes it really obvious.
You may encounter a situation like I did where it's better to use a tier IV materia for a more important stat than a tier V for a less mportant stat.

ok i knew hat the red and blue text was for but I thought that only applied to the the most that certain piece of equipment can have on its ITS cap and not your characters total stats overall... But then if it goes by your characters stats overall and not what the "limit" of your equipment is. Then it would be best to not meld your lore gear at all until your already wearing a full set of upgraded lore gear because caps will change/be different if youre melding based on what youre stats are while youre still wearing prototype midan gear and weeping city gear right?
Thats why id I had a guide telling me what materia to but on each piece of lore gear upgraded individually if youre aiming for full lore set I can have the piece i DO have melded properly already while waiting until I get the other pieces for the rest, instead of doing my meld right now base on a mix of upgraded lore/prototype midan/weeping city

Well the only way you'd be over some cap overall would be on something like crit if you could somehow go over 100% crit rate. I don't think that's actually possible though. There's no hard cap for other stats.
