Hi all, us crafters need to network so that we can work together to make good items.

I plan on doing goldsmith as my main craft and maybe carpenter after that.

I still haven't decided, I was originally going goldsmithing but I'll probably just fill in a niche in the LS. So probably either culinarian or alchemist.

I was basically planning on doing the same thing. Leaning towards blacksmith for weapon repair, but if there are an excess of those I'll go with something else.

Gonna go gold crafting, did it in the beta so I have a pretty good idea on how to level it... up till 20 anyway lol.

I don't know why, but every time I read the title of this thread I keep seeing "Crafters in Rehab". Maybe we're getting a head start on our addiction...

Plan to be a weaver and botanist. Weaver is missing from poll :)

Been using Bigbytes guides, most of my crafts at lvl 10 now. Been vendoring off alot of the stuff I make, but if anyone wants it for their own snyths, I'll sell for vendor price. Rene Descartes in game.

Im going full Blacksmith and have already are rank 12 with playing casual. My problem is that I need things from other classes and people ingame are so unreasonable on their vendors.

I need a Carpenter for Handles, Grips, Hafts. I had made ALL the items for a rank 8 Smith hammer when I was rank 5!!! Now ive outgrown it and I still havent made it. Need an undyed canvas and a walnut hammer grip.

Other things I need desperately are Animal Glue, Fish Glue, BUffalo LEather Strap, Ash Axe haft, Elm Axe haft, Bronze Rivets.

I end up with TONS of stuff to trade, but dont know who needs it. Cotton bolls, hides, and misc other stuff. I end up selling to NPC because my bags fill up quickly.

If anyone wants to work with me you can message me in game, Bizzy Beast. Together with a weaver and carp, I can make upgrades to weapons/craft tools for us to use or sell!!

I'm playing primarily as a gatherer (Selling materials about 10%~30% what NPCs would buy--my retainer is "Fishnchips" in LL middle fritter MW! /shameless advertising) but I would like to get culinary maxed first before maxing other crafts.

I know that we're not going to see a stable economy till we get an auction house of some sort, but lets try to not npc off our unwanted materials. I regularly sell stuff I don't plan on using off to people that would use it for npc market price. Sure, not really making money that way, but the faster we get more people to level their crafts, the quicker prices will come down I think. Also, building a rep as someone that doesn't price gouge can't be a bad thing either.

Lux Lex here - I'm currently rank 7 carpenter, rank 12 alchemist. If I could get the materials for fish glue I'd be able to make it soon. I can make dyes but again, need materials. I'd be happy to make maple grips and other things at my level, I'm really needing brass plate, brass rivets and sheepskin straps atm. I'll sell you a maple wand for 1.5 K if you can find me. Willing to trade gathered ores for salt, shrooms, fish (ask me which ones), shells, logs, rye, wheat, corn... etc - essentially anything I can skill off of.

I have tons of beeswax and distilled water available if people need it.

I just need a few Zinc to make those brass things for you. I had bought 1 zinc for 500gil and failed to synth the brass nugs. But that was barely failed and like 6 ranks ago.

Yeah I am looking for zinc atm. SO HARD TO FIND.

#18 Sep 30 2010 at 1:00 PM Rating: Default
We should try and form a list of reasonable prices. Zinc is rare, but not 6000 gil rare like I keep see it costing. Same with fish glue 15-20k. So stupid.

Maybe each crafter can be a little honest about what it takes and costs

For instance.. 3 copper ore, 1 tin, 1 fire crystal= 12 bronze Nuggets. (GOING RATES) Copper Ore 300per, Tin Ore, 400per, Fire Crystal 1000 per. 2300gil total. So each Bronze Nugget costed me 192 gil to make. I usually sell for 599 and they sell extremely quick.

Oh and youre Lux Lex? Haha! Its me Bizzy Beast, we posted a few times and then randomly met in the game. :) I finished your Bronze Hatchet!!! I got a bird's beak hammer rank 12 and now everything is much easier to craft!

Im about to give up on making myself a Marauder axe.. Although I dont think they're as hard to make as we all think. I see DOZENS of LS people running around with them.. So someone somewhere is making Buffalo Leather Straps (Im pretty sure they HAVE to be black, but I could test if anyone can make ANY strap).

Us Rab crafters HAVE to pull together. Some LS are camping certain spots for things like Wind Shards and such. We must protest them by NOT needing them!!!!!!

Well folks, I go by Artemed Sylvas in game, and so far I've been specializing in tools. So far I can make all the rank 7 tools but saws, but that's due to a lack of brass plates I need for handles. Also been cranking out dyes lately.

Hey everyone,

I'm not a big crafter right now, but my character is rank 7 in Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Goldsmithing, and Leatherworking, and I'll be working slowly on each of those categories as I continue. Eventually, I'll probably pick up some other ones as well (I'm thinking Armorer next).

I'll be honest, I chose these to kind of be a self-sufficient Lancer (I'm pretty sure these are the things I need to make a Harpoon for myself, for example) and I'm trying to avoid getting into the whole Retainer thing. I think the system sucks, personally, which is why I'm staying out of it. That being said, if anyone needs/wants me to try to make something for them or help them out with something, just let me know here. I like working on a more personal level anyway.

Weaver 10, Botany 10, and Leatherworking 7. Going to main Weaving, but may add Alchemy later due to the dye making recipes.

Right now I'm mainly playing the gatherer role and have mining mats up on my Retainer. You can find the information here or send me a /tell in-game to setup some sort of trading plan.

19 alc/15 carp now! Woot. Crafting is fun.

I have a fair amount of dyes etc. fish glue, linseed oil, animal glue etc - can make things from people's mats as well. Able to make hafts/grips and the like also.

cool Ren! Good luck with that. I'm a lowbie goldsmith myself. It can be a little hair-pulling at times but it is fun.
