I know everyone already probably knows but Witcher Franchise is on sale on Steam.

Someone was asking about it a few pages back or w/e and I think thats the lowest price anywhere atm.

Btw anyone have ideas on how i should spend the 15 bucks in my wallet? Should i get like 2 Big name on sale games, or buy a bunch of little stuff?

Currently considering:
-GTA4 Complete: 7.49 Not a huge GTA fan but this one seems to fix the major problem that I had with the series, aka a decent Story
-Blood Bowl:Chaos(4.99) or Legendary Edition(14.99) Not sure the major differences between the 2 , but was suggested as a decent game.
-Left4Dead2: Never played it, not even the first one not sure about how good it is.
-Deadrising 2 Collection (if it comes back up as a flash sale which it seems everything that was a daily is getting a flash sale)
-Cthulu Saves the world/Breath of Death pack (99cents)
-The Last Remnant 8.99 played about half of it wasnt terrible, never finished it due to using a friends Xbox at the time.
-The Walking Dead Series. It did get alot of awards etc.
-Chivalry: Looks fun (again will probably be on Flash Sale again)
-Witcher Franchise: never played them but "western" style rpgs arent really my thing so I stayed away a bit, I hated Oblivion and Skyrim, even after giving them a 3 hour chance, tried Dragon Age it was ok but wasnt a huge fan. I bend more towards 'J'Rpgs.

I like pretty much anytype of game lean more towards JRPG,Sidescroller,Fps, Not a huge fan of 'W'RPG, Sports, Racing. Like i said kinda wanna get the most bang for my 15 bucks.

For reference of what I play (some of these were from Humble bundles) My Steam Games

I would wait until Joph manages to magically find another pricing error, then buy as many copies as possible and resell the others.

The Walking Dead lets you "play" being the protector of an adorable little girl & makes you choose, quickly, amongst different choices. Pretty much all of which are terrible.

I loved it. No one messes with Clementine.

You have a bit of a backlog so, if the money is burning a hole in your pocket, I'd go one or two AAA titles than a bunch of little things you won't play any time soon.

  • You already own Saints Row the Third so I'd just play that over buying GTA.
  • Left 4 Dead is mainly intended to be a multiplayer game. You can play it single player but the computer takes on the other three and plays them fairly stupidly. L4D has one of the worst online communities I've come across and if it was in their power to storm your house and shove your computer off the desk any time you made a minor error, they would. There's no good reason to get L4D1 since L4D2 now includes all the original levels/maps.
  • Never played Deadrising 2 but people seem to like it for what it is: a straight-up zombie bloodbath game
  • No one here seems to have liked The Last Remnant. Too bad my key is activated on it or I'd give it to you.
  • I think I'm the only person not in love with The Walking Dead. I played it for an hour or two and lost interest. More of a QuickTime Event "Choose Your Own Adventure" than a game but most people seem to love it.
  • Chivalry is pretty new. Unless you're planning on playing it now, I'd personally wait for the summer sales when it'll be cheaper.
  • I haven't played Witcher to try and convince you. It's always on sale though so I wouldn't sweat it if you're not in love with the idea.

Looking at my responses, I'm no help at all except to say to save your money Smiley: laugh Do you mean "Steam wallet" or just "in your bank" when you say "wallet"? If you ever plan on firing up your copy of Civ V, I'd get Gods & Kings from GMG tomorrow when it's three bucks and change. That'll be a ridiculously low price for a game-changing expansion.

It's actually in my Steam wallet, I got a Best buy giftcard and blanched at their console only prices on games, and laughed at the pc games so I decided to get a 20 dollar steam card and a mousepad XD.

I have Civ 5 GOTY and Gods and kings already (19.99 bundle with Civ 4 Complete and Stronghold collection). And honestly unless its a Super must have game again on GMG I will be holding back, since i would have to ask you or someone else to buy it for me and send the cash via paypal. Just a hassle and I hate imposing on anyone.

As for Last Remnant idk it wasn't great but I've played much much worse, it had a semi interesting story IIRC. I wish I could convert Steam wallet into Amazon wallet honestly i have like 7 or 8 5 dollar coupons from buying games. I keep telling myself (with my steam wallet) I'm just waiting for that great game, but then I see something I would kinda like and I'm like well should I wait and see if a better deal comes tomorrow or use it now, then kick myself if something better does come out.

Honestly I wouldnt be having so much of an issue if I didnt overspend on the wifes presents, I kinda went nuts on her. She liked everything but then got mad when she realized I spent my Xmas money to buy her presents (We have a joint bank account). Opps. As for my Backlog I'm sorta burned out on WoW atm so Ill actually be playing more of them. As you see I Beat Batman Asylum, and I think I'm like half way through Batman AC, I already near 100% it on PS3 but it was a Gamefly copy so I missed all the Catwoman stuff and I have the GOTY version with the Harley DLC so yeah.
Edit:
Also anyone Playing Planetside 2 Or DotA2, I'm in an outfit (WOOK, which Mike B and Lore play in, but unless they are streaming its Empty alot) and I'm new to MOBA's in general and would be nice to have someone maybe help me out like explaining some stuff(I have done alittle research but yeah)

I have Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition. If you were a fan of the paper & pencil version, you will be disappointed in the digital version. If you weren't or never played, then it will be an enjoyable enough game.

Last Remnant is $3.74 on GamersGate in case BeanX is still interested. Actually $3.55 with code IAMANELDERGEEK
Also, I Am Alive for $4.82 with the same code. Have to buy them one at a time since the code only works on one item in your cart.

Galactic Civilizations 2 is $5 for another 2:40. The bundle with GC1 is $6.24, but I don't know that there's really a reason to play GC1 if you're grabbing GC2. I guess another game for only an additional $1.25 isn't bad. Smiley: lol

The Secret World is on sale for $19.91 at GG with the IAMANELDERGEEK code. This isn't the best price it has been but anyone who has an account registered by the end of the year is supposed to get the upcoming DLC free. So, if you're interested and think you'll play it, you'll probably come out ahead for not having to buy the DLC. I think their clock rolls over at 6pm CST.
Secret World FAQ wrote:
What about future content updates?
Periodically we will release packs of DLC (Downloadable Content). The main content in these packs will be a story leading to unique rewards/items through missions. These packs are fully optional and can be purchased for the Bonus Points that are included in the optional Membership, as well as with the points offered with Grand Master Lifetime service. Players without a Membership or a Grand Master Service can of course as well purchase new DLC content in the Item Store.

When can the first DLC content be expected?
The first DLC will start selling in January 2013, and is the main storyline of Issue #5. However, this content will already be fully unlocked for anyone who has a full game account registered before the end of December 2012.

As for the community pick, it was sort of funny. Elsewhere, when it flipped, a bunch of us were like "Haha... I voted for that as a joke but didn't think it would win..."

I guess when you get enough people with that mindset...
