I need to farm shard droppers anyway because I've been cheating on Ludwig with my Hunter AX and want it to +6 (at 5 now). I'd like to do the same with my flamesprayer and blunderbus which are +4 respectively.

As much as I love the Ax moveset I almost wish I did not split between 18 STR and 18 arcane. My build would have been tighter choosing one and having a bit more 15 Vit and 15 endurance. I can grind it out though and fix it eventually.

That charge r2 on the ax is just so useful in some situations and I feel like I whiff with Lud's sometimes because the range on even r1- r2 on Ax is a bit better. I also feel altitus kicking in, would love to try a Bloodtinge/Skill build soon too. I got time, will be playing for weeks still. Even though a dirty snatcher made me rage right before bed by jumping me and one shotting me right after I spawned last night causing me 8k souls down the drain.Smiley: glare

Same here. And the worst part is that if you know the path, you can get the Evelynne and Reiterpalasch after having only killed one boss. Which I find myself really wanting to do. Smiley: laugh

So pissed right now. Amazon Italy has a PS4 Bundle with Bloodborne/Order1886/TLOU for $424, but I know the games will be the EU versions. Why the hell isn't Amazon US running deals like this?

I could not resist. Rolled an Alt to be Skill/BT. Absolutely annihilated Central Yharnam, the Sewers, CB, and Papa G. Started with Professional so my skill weapon would be good while bringing up BT, Vit, and End. Got the hang of the cane and new found respect for it but I am really digging the sawspear even more. Mostly it's just prior knowledge just like all DS games I am sure but it was really fun to just crush through all of that. That Reiterpalasch just looks so cool. I may have to make for that thing soon. * Also as opposed to playing mostly like a 2handed user in Souls I am actually using my gun more. The damage is not amazing but it's good parry practice and if you throw the shot into a combo it does quite a bit more damage.

No idea, I was really surprised at how short that US deal was up. I would suspect they would fly off the shelves and make up for in volume. Bloodborne has sold over 1 million copies.

Random TIL: The lantern reduces your stam regeneration by almost 30 percent. Ain't that some ****? I was really fond of the little guy, but my little good luck charm was secretly fooking me.

If you want to know the trick to get Evelynn, all you have to do now is buy the emblem that opens the gate and perform a fairly simple wall jump to get to the back of Iosefka's clinic to get the summons. Then it's off to Cainhurst for phat loots for you.

Is the Lantern just a light source, or does it have other uses? I heard that you can actually use torches in this game as weapons, so that may be a better option for a light source.

You can use torches, but only in your offhand, meaning no gun for parrying. They're not a bad early game option for Arcane if you can find the scaling one, though.

What about the blowtorch looking thing? Does it have infinite ammo/fuel, and can you parry with it?

It eats up bullets as fuel and cannot parry.

Thanks for the tip! Now I know what to look up. I googled it last night and saw the looooooong way to the back of of the clinic. I'm totally going wall jumping tonight. Hell I might even pick up the Chikage while there, though that is a lot further in from my understanding.

Shao I could see using a torch offhand if your primary weapon was a gunsword. it will be interesting to see how all of this stam testing plays out. I like having offhand weapon swaps but I can live without them for more juicy stam regen. I pretty much always wore cloranthy ring and a stam regen shield on back when I could. Especially for 2H uchi spam.

It'll be at the beginning of just about any "Any percent" Bloodborne speed run. That's how I found it. My roommate is a big fan of Lobos and I watched a speed run with him the other night.

Wow you can do that really early:

I assume you just need the cathedral open to avoid the long run through forbidden woods to get to Henwick?

If you can go backwards through the password door, then you don't need it. Running it backwards actually isn't hard. But I'm not sure if you can or not, so I'm assuming you'll probably need to kill the padre.

Got pretty far tonight on my epic journey to early gun greatness. Made the jump, got the invite, farmed the gate key. But the carriage ride would not spawn in Henwick. Looked it up and you have to defeat the witch first some say. So I ran out of time for tonight but look forward to spanking her tomorrow and proceeding to bloodtinge loot castle.

More testing. Lantern still seems hosed but the rest of gear seems to have hidden stamina vs weight things going on. Will be interesting when they nail it mathematically and all is agreed upon thresholds.

That worked. Killed the witch before work and CS spawned after that. I am now the proud owner of an Evelynne and Reiterpalasch. Smiley: inlove

Looked up Chikage... Logarius? Not ready for that so I will come back later.

Nice! I didn't get much playing done as roommate beat me to PS4. Should be able to play some this morning after some frozen burritos. Got into an argument last night with someone who thought that using summons for first boss kills "is for pussies" even after the other person I was chatting with had tried the boss fifteen+ times before doing the summon thing.

Edit: I'm really surprised that word wasn't filtered. I mean, it's no "cockmaster", but it's still interesting to know what didn't make the list.

First cool thing I did with Evelyn: Knocked Djura off the tower before he could move. Climb ladder, bang bang bang death plunge. ***** him, he is a furry anyway.

Also I think people should play any game how they like. People who make it a pen waggling contest about their elite skills and are serious about that have issues. I like to solo them first, but I don't care if someone else does not.

Honestly, I'll call someone out for actually cheating(overleveling using infinite souls glitch or bugging out certain bosses), but anything within the game's normal scope is fine. Also, Shadow of Yarnham down. Hope you've still got your parrying skills for that one.
