Just watching the Microsoft press conference. Am I the only one who doesn't know what sort of gamer EA Access is for?

Gamers who play enough EA games to justify five bucks a month for a 10% discount? Edit: Huh. Console versions of FO4 getting access to PC mods? Am I hearing that right?

Anything RPG related, or is the genre still dead?

There wasn't much in the Microsoft press conference that was interesting. While I'm personally not a fans of the game itself, the Minecraft demo with the HoloLens was very cool.

The new Gears of War and Tomb Raider looked cool. Halo was meh. Not enough to make me want to buy a new system since Sony already got my money.

All the gaming media is loosing their marbles over backwards capability on Xbox one. I just feel to little to late. Also if there isn't games I actually want on the system then why should I care about being able to play games for a system I already own?

'Cause developers are going to eventually stop developing for the 360 and you'll want a new system some day. Anything new that you DO want, you won't be able to get for your last gen system.

Unfortunately anything I do want seems to not be exclusive save 1 title that I really could go without.

The point I was trying to make is that if you come out of an E3 conference and all anyone talking about is backwards capability. In my opinion, You dun ****** up son.

I don't know. It definitely sets it apart from the PS4 and it's something that Sony can't quickly come up with their own version. I think that's what makes it news.

Fair enough. I guess I can't be the best judge of the value of that anyways. I still own almost every single system I ever owned and every single game(With the boxes/cases since late 64 gamecube era.) I have ever owned bar the ones I lost along the way. So Backwards capability Never really was a huge concern for me.

Who's going to need backwards compatibility if current "Definitive Editions" trends keep going on. Anyone notice that a lot of the good PS3 games were HD remakes of PS2 and now were getting HD-HD remakes of PS3/XB360 games. I wonder if companies will complain that it cuts into their profits. I mean how can you charge full price for the same game if they can get the game for cheaper from the old console. How long before the base gets tired of buying the same game over and over again? Maybe Square can tell us.

Also I'm sad for no Silent Hills announcement, there was a rumor that Xbox might have picked up the rights after Konami went full stupid.

Horizon looks promising. If it is an open world game like Skyrim and Fallout.

Edit:

Street Fighter V. Coming exclusively to PS4 and PC.

More No Man Sky. I had forgot about that one.

Shenmue just broke Kickstarter.

Edit:
So is uncharted any good? Seems to get a lot of attention in events like this, but I never heard much about it from other gamers around me.

Ha. FF7 remake. I guess SE finally decided that they like money after all. Now if only they'd release an actual new game more than once every few years...

It better have the bad dubbing. That was like 90% of the enjoyment.

Sarkeesian is mad that Fallout 4's crafting system is used to make weapons and DOOM 4 is too violent. Smiley: laugh

Apparently having a choice between a male and female protagonist is still not equal enough.

Complaining about the violence in Doom is like complaining about horses on My Little Pony.
