EAGLE RIVER!!!

I remember that. My friends & I weren't sure which Eagle River they were referring to. There's one in Alaska as well.

I was up there throwing up and raging out of control a few weeks ago on a tubing trip.

Edited original post; BASF now active on Besaid for open beta. There is a poll on our forums for all active members to determine whether or not we'll be staying there. Some of our members have expressed an interest in light roleplaying, and Besaid is apparently the unofficial RP server for FFXIV.

Ralrra: What time are you guys usually online? My wife and I are interested in joining you, but our playtime is mostly restricted to evenings (8-10 or so) Eastern time and wouldn't want to end up in a shell we really never get to spend any time with (we've done that before and it sucks).

I can't answer that for certain, as my own playtime varies. However, I'd be willing to bet you'll find a few people on pretty much any time.

Go KC Chiefs! We might win several games this year! And others we might barely lose!

Oh my goodness.....if you like the Chiefs, and I like the Chiefs, that makes TWO Chiefs fans in a single forum post, which is nearly unheard of these days!

This deserves a digital fist bump, my friend.

On another note, I have a small group of players looking to start on Besaid and with the apparent focus on grouping we may seek you out at launch :)

Digital fist bump given!

Now we'll see how big of a KC fan you are overall: Jack Stack, Oklahoma Joe's, Gates, Arthur Bryants, or Haywards?

Hello!

My friends and I are leaning towards choosing the Besaid server, and are looking for a social LS. We considered forming our own, but there's only a handful of us and we would much rather assimilate ourselves with an already formed group. We consist of myself and my boyfriend, and possibly 4-6 other people who we have gamed with over the years (in FFXI and WoW). We're all adults (most of us over 30), and smart players looking to stay for the most part casual. None of us are interested in RP-ing, we'd just rather give each other a hard time and have fun.

I just rolled a character on Besaid named Elegy Nouveau (I think that will be the name I stick with, I've been having a hard time deciding lol). Though the best way to contact me may be just through PM here. I'm looking forward to possibly talking with you to see if we'd be a good fit!

I would suggest checking out our website, viewing some of our posts (you can't post anything yourself outside of the Application section until you've signed up), and seeing if we would be a good fit for you. Most people in BASF are college age or higher; I think I'm actually only the third oldest, according to the info I can acces as the BASF site admin. ;)

A small number of us are former RPers from Garuda, but the RP is 100% optional. You'll never have to participate if you don't want to.

OK, got the game installed and working, and succeeded in figuring out how to transfer our names from beta (all surprisingly easy considering how cumbersome SE account-bureaucracy usually is). Our characters are Jas Brannan (myself) and Lyra Taln (my wife). How do we go about snagging an invite?

Edit to add: Created an account for the shell homepage.

Edit #2: Corrected the spelling of the wife's character's name. Caught all kinds of hell for getting it wrong...

I assume you're the "jas" that signed up. I already approved your account, and either Gadhelyn or Garent will be inviting people in the next day or two, depending on their schedules.

Yep. That's me. I'll keep an eye out for people in-game. I'll also nudge the wife to sign up for the forums.

I applied on the site as well. Dashuto Ryoko's the name. (Not to be confused with "Dashuto" from Midgar/Shiva. *Shudders*)

I just applied on your forums! ^_^

Being a Bears fan doesn't disqualify me does it? :P

I quietly tolerate Bears fans. My wife's family is from Chicago.

Who rated me down in my own thread? You need to learn how to take a joke.

Just want to endorse BASF. I've been on their forums (our forums?) since beta phase 2 (i think). Very enjoyable.

I got me pearl the other day and, though sparsely populated right now, can tell this is gonna be a good group.

Just a quick update: due to the amount of people that have been signing up, we now require that you post something in the application section before your account is approved. I know this may turn some people off, but now that the game is in retail, I want to make sure we're not being hit by spammers, gil sellers, etc.
