Looking forward to FFXIV - played FFXI for a long time though I'm over in WoW-land currently. However, I think FFXIV is going to be my new drug.

Woohoo Figaro forums!
Long time MMO player, starting even before Ultima Online but really finding my deep roots in UO. Along the way I've played pretty much everything to have come out but UO, FFXI and EQ2 are my babies (in the last year or so I've really been enjoying WoW as well - sad to admit), the games I spent the most time dedicated to.
I'm one of the founders of a multi game guild named Aureus Knights (I've got a recruitment thread up here on the Figaro forums) and I'd love to have more Figaro residents join us here in FFXIV and maybe beyond!

Ahoy, mateys! I played FFXI for about 6 years on Caitsith by the name of Shawn and I'll be playing on Figaro under the name of Lamar Vannoy! I run a linkshell that I first put together back in 2005 with some good friends on FFXI called Aenima. We were an endgame linkshell there and are looking to be the same type of linkshell on Figaro eventually but for now we'll remain just a social linkshell that does lots of fun stuffs. If anyone is interested we have a website: aenima.guildportal.com and always looking for good people to join our ranks!

Hello, I played FF11 for a good 5 years and then off and on after that.

Lojack here, formerly from the Unicorn Server on FFXI(first a Galka, then an Elven when I made the mistake of wiping my character when I got drunk and quit one night:( )
Before and after FFXI, I explored Galaxies, Anarchy Online, Aion, Wow, Evercrack, Evercrack part Deux, and Warhammer online(as well as some other junk not worth mentioning;)
I'm loving how the skill system in FFXIV is similar to the old skill system in Star Wars Galaxies. This game brings me back to my earliest MMO days in a good way, and puts everything in a Final Fantasy universe which, for me, makes even the most red latencied nights in beta more than worth it;)
I'll be leveling...well...everything in this game, so send me a /tell (Lojack Hundredfists in beta...hopefully I keep the name;)if you need anything crafted or repaired, or want a dedicated PUG in your PUG=D

You're all here because you love FFVI right? That's why I'm here. The SNES era, the best era in video game history. So many great games were released from 1991-1994 leading up to the pinnacle of excellence on 10/11/94, Final Fantasy VI. I'll never forget those years.
Siren was the best online community I've ever had the pleasure of playing a game with back when I played FFXI and I look forward to joining the people of Figaro for some great adventuring action (and amusing say/shout chats in town)!

I'm hear because all the people I wanted to play with chose Figaro, for me the only memories it stirs are those of Pinnochio.
Hello, my name is Kadin, Kadin Osbourne on ffxiv. I played ffxi for about 5 yrs on the Carbuncle server and loved every minute of it! FFXI was my first and only MMO until FFXIV now. I'm unsure at this point if Figaro will be my perm server at launch, but I look forward to meeting you all in game! I'm looking for a decent social LS if anybody cares to look me up.

Joining Figaro server names Kenjin or Woobz last names pending as i can't think of ones atm heh. Mining = Blacksmith/Armorer = Glad ;) can't wait to see you all in game! Happy Hunting to those in OB still!
Going to figaro as well (wish it was still named kefka!!) since FFVI is my favorite of the series. I'll be Sojiro Jigabachi in game. See you all in figaro come the 22nd :D.

but yeah, i wish it was still named kefka too. but if it was, im willing to bet it would be in the top two in terms of population (the other being, of course, sephiroth.....golbez > sephiroth imo, but hey, what do i know).

Hello! I am going to be joining the Figaro server. The only other MMO I have played was FFXI for 3.5 years on the Siren server. I plan on making FFXIV my new time sink for the next 3.5 years! See you all on the server!
My husband and I played on the Unicorn server for 5+ years. There we were Oceanstorm and Serenitystorms. We just finished our character creation on the Figaro server. Look us up. I am Serenity Storm and he is Ocean Storm.

Been playing these for too long to count. Loved FFXI, played on Sylph with Lace and Utini in the Seekers LS.
Played on Kefka while it was still up as Vindaloo Curry. Will be playing here with my wife who plays Ziggy Stardust.
Running a LS by the name of Spiders from Mars to meet people and keep us from getting bored. LS's have always been a social thing for us...gonna try and keep it that way. Hoping to find a good crafting LS soon.
I love the crafting metagame, always have...hope to level all of them as quick as possible.

I was thinking of coming back to FFXI because I missed my monk but saw this was out and decided to try this out and see how it goes. I had a 75 monk on Caitsith, beat CoP before it got dumbed down and played on and off after that. I've played WoW, CoV, and a few other games as well.

Now that I finally got onto the server I thought I would say "how do you do".
My friends call me Pony, people who aren't my friends often call me things that would get me banned at most forums. *grin*
I played ffxi for 4 or 5 years "back in the day". Played WoW for a while, haven't been playing an MMO for quite some time. I was Warpony (and my secondary character Ponyboy) on Gilgamesh server, officer of Chocobolicious LS. I have a reputation as being perpetually gimped, easily amused, and far too casual to ever actually accomplish anything significant in game. But I have fun, and I am smart enough to not let my gimpitude wreck other people's playtime so I guess that is ok.
Character name is Pony Violente. I am often seen hanging out with my kitty cat side kick, Syurashi, played by my husband. We picked Figaro because that is the server most of our LS friends from FFXI voted for.
Outside of the game I am like a little old farmer lady. I knit and weave and spin yarn and decorate gourds, spend time with my horses, garden, can up food, raise a few goats, make cheese, read wayyy to many books... and hopefully next spring I will get to start making soap, raising some chickens and possibly add some honeybee hives to the homestead. Which is why I am perpetually gimp and far too casual to accomplish anything. Too busy being old farm lady in my spare time to devote long periods of time to game play, but I do still love playing my MMOs.

Hit there, I'm playing as Errick Fauxi on Figaro, wanted to say hey. I played FFXI at NA launch, though admittedly I never got super far in it. Not much past mid 20s as a WAR, then I got caught up in levelling subjobs and mining and messing around. Hehe. Since then I've been into a lot of other MMOs (and non-MMOs), mainly City of Heroes. Did a bit of WoW.. liked it but couldn't really get into it since by the time I got into it, the only "game" was at the end with raiding. No one wanted to do any of the pre-cap stuff anymore, at least not the way it was designed. Champions had me for a while there too, got a Munitions character to the level cap and really enjoyed it. And I've played most every F2P out there that I could find, cause heck, they're free. :P
Anyway, I'm going Archer this time around, and taking up carpentry and weaving and whatever else will help me craft arrows and bows and possibly some armor. I see that the crafting system is set up such that you really don't go from raw materials to finished item all by yourself though. So, I've been seeking out a decent LS to play with and chat with and enjoy this game with, but so far I've not had much luck. Folks in the game itself hardly respond, at least not to LS requests.
So look me up if you want, is cool.

Ive played a few MMO's in the past as well, however I never did WoW or FFXI. Recently purchased FFXIV and want to have a bit of interaction since most people playing this game tend to be quite anti-social. IGN is Rin Muska City: Gridania

Hello all, Oyashima Strike is the name. It's a good day. My first experience in Eorzea wasn't conquering a beast but I obtained the item, Usagi Kabuto. Now my hard work will be geared towards making it either silver or black. I can only hope your's are the same also - FUN!
