Been playing since SE launch, and I'm enjoying it very much! Haters gonna hate.

I played FFXI for a while but never got my main job past 40 because of lack of playtime. Then I played WoW for a really long time, and came back to FFXI a few times because it was my first MMO and I love it. I had vain hopes of AF1. I'd been looking forward to FFXIV for a long time and it's finally here! Yay! I'm a slowbie but I'm having a great time.

Hello, I'm a Plainsfolk, Lalafelle named Howard Lovecraft. I played FFXI for about five years (mainly playing as BRD, BST and THF) on Fenrir and I plan to continue with FFXIV indefinitely.

I'm playing on Central Standard Time (in Chicago) and my play times range from evening to night on some weekdays and sporadically on the weekends.

I'm looking to take my time ranking up crafting, gathering and magic/melee jobs in parallel and I'm looking to join some light-weight linkshells for social aspects and rank advancement. I hope to see all of you on Besaid!

Hello all I'm Wapa Sanapa, character name is the same, and I have just joined the game after doing exhaustive research on how I should approach the leveling, I just decided I'll be taking all the dps classes sans mages around even levels...so yeah..and then I gotta try out the crafting...and I'll be playing regularly but restricting my schedule so I don't end up "losing" myself because I have a penchant for playing games for long hours and neglecting other important duties...whew! :)

I chose Besaid because of a lot of forum lurking and hearing about this being an "unofficial rp server" and I enjoy the kind of players who are attracted to that kind of environment although I don't rp much myself. Hope to meet you good people in game!

I started out on Wutai server at release, with a Duskwight Elezen but university work was stacking and i had to let the game drop. Came back around a week ago and was alienated with my character. So here i am on Besaid, new start on a new server. I hope to become friends with a lot of you!

Currently looking for a social LS, i enjoy sunsets and long walks on the beach.....

Hello all I'm Elios Duo and I just started playing yesterday. I'll be playing in limited spurts throughout the week but more often during the weekends, I chose this server based on word of mouth.

I want to take Lancer all the way, but I'll probably be trying out a little bit of everything when I get a chance...I'm very new to all this including MMO's, it's been kind of quiet on this server but at least it helps me relax...looking for some similar laid back players to have fun, explore the world, kill some baddies etc...anyway see you around :)

I guess I should re-introduce myself... I don't play Miqo'te anymore, got tired of everyone being a cat so I figured I should make a new character now or never while the game is still new and I haven't achieved THAT much yet.
Grinding my THM to 28 again will be interesting but I am getting there slowly :)

So, my name's Black Mamba in the game and I currently have two retainers called Venom and Poison.

Give me a wave, poke, hug, cuddle, gil, items, shards (you choose) in the game - and I'll be your best friend.

My linkshell (Superheroes) is very small and actually only have 3 members so far, but hey one server can't have that many superheroes, right? ;)

Welcome back!

One thing that I didn't quite get is why have a LS of only 3 members but if you just want to be with a small number of RL friends or something I guess I can understand.

If that is not the case you might want to consider joining Vagrants Requiem, this past week we got a nice influx of new people just starting out so we now have a good mix between high and low rank players.

Last night the high rank ones even went back to some old classes to join some new ones on lower leves.

Glad to have you aboard, get a pearl and start enjoying the game!!!

It seems quite a few people restarting anew character decide to come to Besaid, great!

In regards to LSs, you might want to look at the list on the top thread and see which better suits your style of play and such, my own LS is there as well!
