Good job!
You guys try the world NM's yet?

Edit: Whoever is doing your recording should lower their settings for better framerates. Kinda choppy XD

Literally just upgraded my computer 2 days ago. This was recorded on my old comp. from December.

Can't wait to record something now.

Yeah Mog we're doing world NMs now, this was a video before the video I recorded but it took tezz awhile to upload it :D

(As in, this was from our first NM night)

We don't allow drops to be sold and we try to keep our discussions and stuff to our hidden sections of the forums.
I will admit at first they were a challenge but once you get Prot 2 and Shell 2 and a 50 gladiator the difficulty drops to trivial.

and yes tezz you need better recording tool or settings :D Try Fraps instead of whatever your using :P
Maybe I should record it and send your my vids to edit because you definitely edit way better than I do. (nevermind that I have final cut pro and a mac)

Well if anyone wants to know exactly how to kill all of the NMs, what skills they use, where they spawn, timers, hints, anything, ANYONE can ask me. Nothing is a secret. I give information freely and I think everyone should have access to all the NM information.

Good Luck.

Well Mog, perhaps it would be a good idea for you to make a thread on it, the whole community, game, and our server would benefit from more competition and people doing NMs. Keeps members playing and logging in.
With the ease of NMs right now I feel linkshells shouldn't be intimidated by them. The Leve NMs can be downed with rank 35-45 players, as long as you have at least one person with Cure III or Sac III, and the world NMs can be downed with 45-50 players with relative ease (Prot II helps a lot)

I know the DoW, and Black Planet, and Prismatic Llama, have fought world NMs, I think Final Venture just downed their first Leve NMs.

Since we're on a low pop server it does everyone a disservice for there to be only one or two LSs doing content.
We definitely encourage other LSs to get into the NM business so the community can prosper.

Low pop servers suck :(
I've never said this before but i'd welcome a server merge lol. Or PS3 players :D
Hell release the game for Mac OS if it gets more.

I will say our LS doesn't exactly know the respawn timers of NMs because they are -always- up when we go to fight them. We have learned when certain ones despawn and reappear, but as we haven't seen how long it takes once their killed that would be good public information.

They respawn every game day.

Yeah I had kind of figured thats how long they were being that they're always up even an hour after its downed.

It's kind of nice in a way.

Just wait til "real" endgame NMs show up when the rank cap is increased and companies are implemented and stuff. Then you will prolly see respawns like in FFXI xD

On the other hand 3 to 5 day respawn mobs are lame.

It doesn't make you badass cuz you used 3rd party tools to claim nidhogg and kill him blocking other attempts.
It makes it badass when a lot of people can try, and fail horribly, and then some pros come in and destroy it.

I'd kind of rather see NMs like the ZNM system where you kill NMs to unlock other NMs leading up to a sort of ultimate final encounter for the best loot. As opposed to 70 people camping on one location, lagging it up, with 30 using claiming tools, seeing who gets the data packets sent to their client faster with the best claiming delays set up.

Basically what I'm saying is, Challenge > Time Sink :P

That sounds pretty awful with the bots and what not Eadieni, glad I didn't ever see that stuff.

I am really hoping for a variety of NMs and where they are from (quests, instances, instances, or where ever else). Company transport to crazy stuff being the coolest sounding content in my book.

Yeah i totally agree with you.
In FFXI you had like 5 linkshells w/ 18+ members each waiting for the mob for its spawn window (21 through 24 hours) so you all stood there waiting for it to pop in 1 small spot, and whoever had the best hacker tools won. you had 0% chance without them because bots could claim before players could target.

I just don't want a repeat it in 14 because id rather spend 3 hours killing NMs, not 3 hours gathering and waiting for its spawn window to start.

Some NMs would spawn 3-5 days instead of 21-24 hours. Was just a mess.

World NMs are cool but only when you can actually legitimately compete. Force spawn, storyline, leve, company spawned, guildleve purchased, all cool with me ;)Smiley: nodSmiley: nod
