Hello,

Getting late-ish and about to go bed.

Just wanted a thread that might have something amusing to read at work tomorrow.

Here is a pic of the 5 of 10 druid Naxx10 from Monday . Also shows my UI.

3 trees, a lazerchicken and a bear(me). Sweet.

Anyway, going to have a beer and go bed. Had to bring a couch down 3 flights of stairs so I think I deserve a beer.

edit: Apparently, I can't link to pictures with swear words in the name. Fixed the pic name and link.

Hello,

I just got to work and I'm your first source of entertainment for the day.

Here's a pic of 3/10 Druids in Naxx 10 I took this picture because I wanted everyone to see what I see when they're AoE'ing the hell out of stuff.

My UI is all jenked up. I had just reloaded my addons (like a month before) and still hadn't put them in their proper place. The bad thing is that I was also the raid leader, so I had to keep an eye on everything, hence the influx of boxes from hell. I'm also **** when it comes to my buttons, if a keystroke doesn't work, or my hand gets out of place, I like having my key abilities available to still click. Normally I only have 2 bars, one for resto/balance and one that switches between the proper abilities depending on what form I'm in. They're usually also hugging the bottom of the screen. My Chat screen is usually smaller, my omen and Recount as well. My map's not usually down and my x-perl icons are usually much smaller. Come to think of it, my UI's horrible. >.<

As far as druids go. Mendra's our top Resto druid, Orlin is our top Boomkin Druid and Me and the Shammy in the pic Velenis(his druid is Feralune) are the top Feral Druids. Our gear level is pretty much identical. The Hunter Lenni is our other Boomkin Druid, he's not far behind Orlin. The only person missing from this run was our other Resto Druid Delphelia. We also picked up another Feral DPS Druid the other day, Uleo. Who has a great dps set as well as a pretty good tank set. So needless to say. Our recruiting is closed to droods at the moment. :P

I don't really need SCT to tell me all that stuff, but it's fun to see Dodge, Dodge, Miss, Miss, Dodge, Dodge, Absorb, Miss, Dodge, Absorb, Dodge, Dodge.... So I keep it up.

EDIT: So I just found This sick one... This is me on my Gnome DK. If you look at our Drood, Mendra, you'll see something in between her tree feet. That's me. :P She was taking it like a champ as you can see. :P

EDIT x2: Found this Naxx 25 SS on our site. I wasn't on it, but you can see a bunch of our other druids. Maddman's wife is in our guild, and he has a few toons, but that one isn't in guild. This was Feralune marking the mini spiders so Quask wouldn't get confused on kill order. :P

EDIT x3: Found this from a month ago or so, when I first started DPSing in Naxx 25. This was back when I still had a Shard of Contempt and a Green quest Trinket and mostly my tank set to dps. Thaddius fight. I was in awe, even with the buffs from stacking in that fight that I had a 22k FB crit. :P

EDIT x4: Ok, these are our Tree Delphelia's Point of View the first couple times we ever did Gluth. Needless to say...she still won't watch anything with a zombie in it.

EDIT x5: This was our testing the first time we went into Construct Quarter to see if you could pull Patch before killing the rest of the room. As you can see, I tried to pick them up when Fera went down. Phol was the last to die, right after me. :P

EDIT x6: So here we have our GM Tal on his first time in Naxx finding the "doodad_nox_door" Look at the bottom right corner of the SS :P

EDIT x7: Here we have Droods gone wild. A bunch of the guild's druids joined by a couple walruses.

Btw: I'll keep adding in pics till you start replying :p

I like the tree vs chow pics. Very nice.

I should mark the spiders next time, seems like a good idea. Plus I can get all angry when people don't follow kill order.

Anyway, I just got to work I need coffee and to start looking busy.

I'll be here at work till 11pm EST. Then after a treacherous bus trip I will be running around in Naxx.

I am sick of Naxx10. I don't need anything except maybe KT's hat.

Stupid lack of guildies to run 25 mans. At least night we snagged a new hunter. Hopefully tonight we can recruit a healer.

Luckily, we're awesome and raid late so we have like 0 competition to grab all the night owl raiders. We just need to find them all at this point. Heck, I'd be happy if we could fill a ten man at this point.

I used to work 2nd shift. Finally got off it like 4-5 months ago. Makes it easier to raid. I had the same problems with getting enough people together for the late night raids. That's part of the reason I never got to see much past ZA during TBC.

We're pretty awesome ourselves. I like how your GM is level 38 priest Token Figurehead. lol

I like to punish myself for having a horribly boring job by staying awake until 3am, sleeping for two hours, then dragging myself to work, only to stare at the screen like a ****** for 8-12 hours. Then rinse and repeat. We usually have 15-25 people online past 11pm eastern. :P

I don't work second shift. I live in Hawaii.

Ya, the GM is my priest alt. Now that she is a GM I feel slightly more motivated to level her. I think she is up to 41 now have to update the roster tonight.

Well lunch is done with so I have nothing left to look forward to at work.

So I started thinking about changing my professions. Specifically, Skinning over to Jewelcrafting. For the sexy trinkets and fancy gems.

Anyone done this? How pricey is it? I have a DK that is a miner but I never use him. I mean he can mine the low level stuff and I guess can skill up as a farming slave. If I do this I will obviously have to change him to have Skinning as well and just make him into a farmer.

Which is fine with me, I mean he was a servant before to Arthas and while I'm not as powerful I am just as cruel so he will feel right at home.

Why I am thinking about my toons feeings I have no idea. Work is rotting my brain I think.

Horsemouth get JC and LW. For druid tanking its absolutely amazing. I have it on my druid for just boomkin dps and I wouldn't go back to anything other than that combo.

But, it did cost me about 2k gold to level JC in one day. Just think you get 90 stam bracer. Two 41 stam gems for your 63 stam trinket. You're gonna look just like a 3d tank in no time.

I still have skinning and LW. Man I am getting sick of going out and killing/skinning a ton of stuff and get at most one Arctic Fur. What really sucks is a guildmate was out the other day and pickup 11. I must have the worst luck when it comes to these things.

I may have to create a DK and use him as a farmer. Hadn't thought of that before. Thanks for the idea Horsemouth. Most of my other alts are lowbies. Although I think I'm going to start leveling my Hunter to get him to Northrend. I spend way too much on either Flasks or the mats to make them. My Hunter is a herbalist so I would save to ton of gold.

Honestly making your dk into your farming machine is the best thing you could do.

First off going herb/mining is very easy and with the help of a macro you can easily switch between the tracking. Plus you've got Pale Horse talent that gives an extra boost in mounted speed therefor increasing your net gain of herbs and ore.

I do this on my dk all the time. If I can spend at least 2 hours farming between SP, IC and SB I am pretty much gaurenteed to make 1-2k gold. I have JC/LW on my druid, Mine/Herb on my dk and then the rogue I'm leveling is an enchanter. So basically you do it like this.

Mine saronite ore, tons and tons of it. Prospect it, set aside all blue quality gems for sale. There are 4 types of green quality gems that with 2 crystalized earth you can make into a green 70 ring. So if you've farmed enough ore you'll pretty much be able to make about 100+ of these rings. D/E all the rings and you've got yourself an absolute load of dust, essence and a few shards.

Oh and while you're mining the saronite, herb too and just sell the herbs.

The only problem I see to leveling Mining is that I've heard (on my server anyway) that getting Thorium is next to impossible. Not sure why though. I have access to an enchanter so I don't need that. My buddy is an enchanter and I send him all the greens and blues that drop while I'm doing dailies and other runs. Then when I need an enchant I get it for free unless I need Abyss Crystals. Those I have to provide.

Plus if I gave up skinning on my Druid I would want want skinning on at least one alt for the mats. The price of Arctic Fur is ridiculious. I have a ton of Heavy Borean Leather so I think I'll put some of the AH to see what kind of gold I can get (from those LW'er out there without skinning).

The only proffession I have that isn't max'd is fishing. Only at 301. I guess I need to start hitting the beach in Outlands. :) I saw the cost of Northrend fish on the AH last night. There's a way to make some gold if you have the time to get your fishing that high.

man i wish i was as efficient as you guys lol. My druids got Mining and Skinning.
I had it in my head when i first made him a long time ago that this was the best way to go. I could just mine and skin and sell everything i get. But now im kinda thinking it might be a good idea to get some new profs. I intend to be mainspec cat and offspec resto. So idk which would be the best to go for. LW maybe? my friend has some nice stuff on his gear that i cant have....

I just found some SS of my druid when he was first entering OL. Man i couldnt recognize myself lmao. Once i get home from school ill post some screenshots of my UI, and maybe some others if i can find them.

No offense horsemouth, but yours looks like a mess haha. It could be just all those dodge/miss/absorbs that i see :)

Unless you have a steady source of income it is the best way.

I can run dailies on my main to make money if I want. Also have a death slave knight I can use to farm.

Was Galenmoon's UI. I haven't taken any recent combat UI shots. Or do I...

Anywho, got JC started last night. Made it up to level 25 or so. Have to put the DK to work tonight and farm ores and herbs. Sending all the sweet +1 Spirit rings to my priest to DE. She'll get some gear out of this fairly quickly I think.

My main's fishing is 4. My level 41 alt has all ready caught 1000 fish from a mean Old Crafty session that last a few weeks. Was capped at 225 fishing for days. I camped there for days as it took my at the time level 37 priest an hour to get to the pools by the Hunter trainer. Was not a fun trip. I refuse to return until I can 1 shot the run.

I hate you Old Crafty. You will be mine some day.

Lastar, I used to have skinning but eventually dropped it for herb on my druid to pay for all the mats I needed for pots/elixers in BC raiding.

I would've gone back had the price of Arctic Fur not dropped to about 15 gold a piece. Lichbloom on my server goes for about 60-70 gold a stack and gem prices have been relatively stable with Scarlet Ruby at 60-80 a few others at 30 and the rest 10-15.

Dust though goes for about 100 gold a stack, cosmics for about 250 for a stack and shards sit at about 15-20.

15G for Arctic Fur! Damn I wish I could have you buyout the AH for me :)

That won't last though because when the Patch goes live the new LW patterns call for 8 Furs and 8 Frozen Orbs. Look for the price to sky rocket, assuming it hasn't already.

The gems prices you quote are about same on my server. I haven't looked at enchanting mat prices lately so I can't comment on those. The Lichbloom pricing is kind of fluid, I've seen prices anywhere from 45G to 60G per stack. When I see them at 45G I buy. If I get off my butt and start leveling my Hunter I'll have a Herbalist in Northrend and it won't be a problem.

I wish I had the patience to play the "Buy it low sell it High!" game, sadly I don't. I just really enjoy farming, all because I know that I have very little waste when it comes to prospecting my ore and it just means more money.

I also need to get into the situation my buddy has.

He has a shaman with JC/Mining and his Dk is Herb/Insc, both have epic fliers or course. Well a friend of his irl likes to play wow but can't afford to pay for his own account, dont ask me how. So what he does is play his shaman by doing his dailies on his shaman and dk, and then farming to his hearts content. He literally has someone farm for him and make him as much money as he can make w/o doing any work.

I want that!

Sweet.

I remember one poster here joking that wanted to make a faceroll macro and have their kid run people through Stocks for money in addition to other farming tasks.

One lady at my office has had her kid farm honor for her in BGs before as one of his 'chores'.

Child labor is great.

Dominos is the backbone of my UI. Lets me make my bars all nice. Have 2 bars to the left of chat only visible out of combat. The two shown bars are for combat stuff. The Barkskin and Dodge trinket being keybound macros. Everything else is click as they are not often used. The whole main action bar is key bound and mostly conditional macros.

Have 1 or 2 other bars of hidden keybinds. Both for healing spells and various things like mounting and hearthing. The combat bars change opacity based on hover or combat status.

Dom also lets me move all the other frames around and make them less visible when in combat. Have a free frame mod that lets me move around Blizz frames like the quest box, toon shet and other stuff.

Use Sexymaps to drop the mini map, change the opacity and shrink the size.

xperl does my combat frames. Toned everything down and minimized most of the info. Opacity changes as well. Have raid frames 1 and 2 below the party box and 3-5 are on the right side of the screen. All frames are small, semi-transparent and have space between them to increase visibility and screen real estate.

Use prat for chat frames. Have numerous custom chat tabs for whatever I may be doing and what chat info I currently require. The type box is below the map on the bottom of the screen.

Outfitter is used. Also Auctioneer, DBM, Omen (bottom right corner), recount (sits above Omen), Facemauler(for cat form rotation, which I edited to remove the energy boost from TF and Shred for bear spec'd dps efficiency), Cartographer, QH and maybe one or two others.

Want to integrate Elkano Buff Bars but havent got around to it yet.

The whole design idea was to maximize screen space while making sure every piece of information I need is easily visible.

Have no idea how I plan on shoving resto frames in there when Dual spec drops as then I will need a set of healing frames and decursive.

Took me a while to get the UI all nice looking. Still needs a bit of polish but I like it so far. Only downside is I'm crippled after a patch when mods don't work.

I think it was Galenmoon who had a aura thingy that I like for combo points and other stuff. Also the buff bars as mentioned are something I may add. And a new SCT would be good addition as well.

I want to tweak stuff so I don't have party frames that are as obtrusive. Also cleaner target frames would be nice.

i work with twelve-year olds. we played dodgeball in P.E. today. i get paid money to throw balls at kids and the best part is when i hit them they laugh.

in short, y'all got the short end of the job stick.

on another note...galen man....you need to up your screen res i think, and probably change your UI scale too. things look so cluttered it would drive me nuts :( but if the comp cant handle it i understand. i was just getting flashbacks from the MC healing days when it was me, my hotbar, and a screen-covering game of whack-a-mole. i dont think i really "saw" MC until i had five or six pieces of cenarion; everything before then was just life bars and HoT timers with a chat window shoved in there somewhere.

Grid and Clique are a nice, space efficient way to heal. I have decurse set to shift leftclick and depoison to shift right click. The grid square goes purple or green for curse or poison so it is really easy to take care of that plus healing.
