They're provided by google. Google says this is a PG13 family friendly site and Zam can either do what google tells them or go broke.

I was really worried about the gender/sexual orientation terms being filtered, for obvious reasons, because I know there were issues (at least in the past) of google not allowing words like bisexual and lesbian.

But it seems this is a pretty intense filter. Not being able to use sex, or make ******* jokes about Alma, is a pretty big buzz kill...

Well, we'll see.

I've invested too many posts to quit now, and I don't really break filters, and there is almost an infinite ways through innuendo and euphemism to tell people off so I'm not worried. I got a PM from Darq about my images so I'm probably gonna be upset over that when I get premium, but not anything to throw a tantrum over.

Also @#%^ you digg. Smiley: motz

Keep in mind that list I posted may not be the definitive list. I think it's what Google is using, but I am not sure at all. It might actually be much more lenient.

I kinda liked Google, until they started enforcing their Google+ sh*t on YouTube, and now this? Jesus Christ. It's not Google I'm mad at, though. I mean, sure, strong-arming your clients like this is kinda messed up, but they're doing it because a certain part of the world is a bit... sensitive when it comes to strong language.

Yeah, I'm looking at you, America.

Whatever, I'm usually too lazy to break the filter, anyway. I just wish the filter would be more subtle than the these @#%^ing symbols. Asterisks would win.

Smiley: lol That list... twunt is filtered? It's not even a word!

If that's all there is to the list, this won't be so bad. There's nothing on there but the most obvious words it seems. For all they'll know this thread will be involved in a gripping conversation about pie fillings.

Really I'm struggling to believe that's it. You'd think the mighty Google would be using something more advanced than a simple word filter some college student whipped up in their spare time.

You're talking about cream pies now aren't you?

Also, GO WÃœST! Third gold medal in 3 Olympics.

Maybe some sweet cherry pie.

I've yet to get to far into the Olympics. We have snow here, and I'd rather be enjoying snow than watching people enjoy snow. Especially since it'll be gone in a couple of days anyway.

I tried watching the 1000 Mens Speed Skating last night. 25 seconds later I came to and the channel was changed. I think I may have been legally bored to death. It's like NASCAR without the possibility of gruesome explosions and audience death.

I like curling.

Not gonna lie, I think it's interesting. It's very laid back, and it's pretty easy to see when the interesting stuff will happen, so you can go make popcorn and get beer whenever there's downtime. It's a nice way to spend a couple of hours a gray and rainy weekend.

Well, we'll see.

I believe the filter you linked is not the one being used. We'll get more details.

Yeah, it'd be great to have a master list of words not allowed, though I totally understand why that would be impossible to have, too. Maybe something in a journal if what DF said is true and Google doesn't see them?

You're either mistaken about the distance as only the 5000m for men and 3000m for women have been held so far or you're talking about short track where crashes are actually quite common.

And with the long track it's all about the movement, if you do that well it feels almost as good as sex, definitely better than bad sex. It's probably a lot more exciting if you have someone to root for so check out the men's and women's 1000m for America's best medal chances.

We can always flee to my journal since journals don't count. It won't get you any karma but there's no rating here anyway.
#3976 Feb 10 2014 at 3:33 AM Rating: Good
Yeah, I don't really care about karma. We don't tend to rate each other up much here anyways. Can you put a link to your journal in your sig to make it easier to find?
