CANON MF 6590Follow

OK, so this is the printer I use at work. With great frequency, it will quit accepting print jobs or inputs (like, trying to change zoom or copy quality, etc).

The LCD screen when it's like this says "DOWNLOAD CONNECTED".

I assume it's trying to update its' firmware, but...I dunno.
XP Office Pro SP3, if that matters.

Yes, latest printer driver is installed.

So far, The only way to clear this mode is to turn it off or hold down the reset, (or reboot the main computer it is slaved to).

So...fixes/news/explanation, please?


I'm reading the PDF Maunals, but they seem silent on this point.
