So I don't know if any of you have been following this or not, I have been for several years now... But the site that translated Mother 3 from Japanese to English now has a group of people who have been working on a Earthbound (Mother) 4 game.

Here is a link to the youtube video they just released.

I know most think fan games suck, and 99% do. However these aren't your run of the mill individuals working on this game, they've literally been working on the game for years now and have assembled a team of about 20 people who are all professionals in their respective fields (i.e. programming, artists, etc.) Earthbound fans are just a little more hardcore than fans of most other games.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy... the website for the game is:

http://www.mother4game.com/

~If you do happen to have any interest in this game, then.... YOU'RE WELCOME! LOL... I just say that because the team has been very tight lipped for years only releasing tidbits of information here and there. I've been following it since the beginning, and just today they released the video and a new website last week. So I've saved you years of suffering waiting for more information Smiley: wink

Edit:

Here's an old link that shows the music which plays for the players when they level up... it's pretty cool each has their own music but when multiple players level up their music joins symphoniously.

And here is another of a sample of some of the music from the game (if you've never played, music is a big part of a Mother game.)

The only reason I even know this game exists is because of Super Smash Bros...

That's unfortunate.

Super Smash Bros Melee is a bloody good game though. Although I hate playing with Ness, too many of his attacks are impractical and annoying to use.

I agree SSB is friggin awesome!

I don't know if you're into console RPGs but if you are, you should give EB a try!

If I remember right, Ness was pretty overpowered in the first one. Throws in general seemed over powered, and Ness's throws had quite the reach. Plus his Thunder ability was useful in many ways. He was my favorite character in the first one. Then I tried him in the next one and his strongest feature, throws, were nerfed quite a bit.

Melee is the Gamecube one, I haven't really played the original N64 one.

Well, Earthbound is a quality game for one.

And it's free.
