The gloves in my lab don't fit. It happens a lot, and it's getting frustrating and tiresome. My hands are too small for the large gloves and too large for the medium gloves. The medium gloves are uncomfortable but let me grip various small tubes and vials well. The large gloves are comfortable but the floppy fingers make using them difficult.

I'm at wits end.

What should I do?
Squeeze into the smaller gloves, pain is beauty, stop being a wuss.:0 (0.0%)
Why unnecessary pain? Big and floppy is the way to go.:1 (9.1%)
Build an army of mutants and take over the glove factory, forcing them to make gloves in your size.:4 (36.4%)
I don't have an opinion, but I like to vote.:6 (54.5%)
Total:11

Where is the "Fashion Saran Wrap into makeshift gloves" option?

Also if you asked a woman about the first two options she would probably say you have them backwards.

Fill the glove with molten wax then stick your hand in to get an exact fit?

Why not get a different brand? Our stockroom sells 3 different brands, and their sizing differs quite a bit. Large of a certain brand fits me perfectly, but the large for another brand is too big. Otherwise, I'd say go with the ones that actually give you more control. Better to be able to actually grip glassware than risk breaking **** because your gloves are too big.

I'd order up a 3-D printing machine and you can print up your own perfectly unique little gloves, Snowflake.

I thought the link said "Making Love", and wondered what he was going to do with the Liquid Latex.

We have one brand right now. I assume they went with something cheap and impractical to save money. What we really need is another vendor to come around. Free samples are awesome.

Nitrile or GTFO.

Is this for a class or are you doing research for a professor? If the latter, you can always look into buying them from Fisher or something.

What's the point in telling him to take a shower if he's not here to see it?

because Fisher is like the Walmart of science.

Smiley: nod

2/3 of the way down the page, for those who missed the reference. Which I'm guessing is going to be pretty much everyone. Because that was a pretty obscure one... Smiley: rolleyes

Okay, maybe I'm just too lazy to thumb through their site and order something. It's easier to complain then order different gloves until I find something that fits. Smiley: um

Nitrile turns to mush in the presence of too much organic solvent.

On a related topic it's amazing how fast you can get a pair of gloves off when you know a chemical eats through them in seconds. Even more amusing is once you've developed that habit how long it takes to break it. Because it's thoroughly entertaining watching someone freak out after they get a drop of water on their gloves.
