I rolled my eyes pretty hard when my wife told me about this earlier. It's like there's already an issue where fashion models are photo-shopped and airbrushed into oblivion-- this is the next level. "Let's take a fantasy character that no one could possibly ever live up to and show her bounding off of walls and brandishing giant weapons while wearing computer generated images of our product."

I'm trying to imagine the kind of deal that went down with Square Enix to make this possible.

I think the difference is that people know she's a fantasy character.

Too savvy for them. Square Enix always seems like they're on the verge of going bankrupt if their next thing doesn't do well enough. I'm betting it was a couple baggies of blow.
