I'm a huge fan of the new change to the filter, but there still seems to be a bug with the filter sometimes swallowing punctuation marks. These punctuation marks then show up as additional asterisks, rendering the recent change less useful.

Edit: I'm just going to use this post for some testing of aforementioned bug.

Seems d*ckface swallows the period while d*ck does not.

Furthermore, it would be excellent if the filter would only swallow the naughty part of the word. For instance, motherf... becomes mother****er instead of ************. But that's just me wishing out loud - I realize that it might not be that easy to do.
