When my 12 year old daughter asked for this for her birthday, I kind of wondered if she was too old for it, but she seems to LOVE it. Her friends love it too! They play for hours in her bedroom with this great toy. They really seem to like the special effects it offers (the sound effects and vibrating). My oldest daughter (17) really likes it too! I reccomend this for all children.

My 12 year old daughter is a big Harry Potter fan, and loved the part with the Nimbus 2000, so I decided to buy her this toy. I was afraid she would think it was too babyish, but she LOVES this toy. Even my daughter's friends enjoy playing with this fun toy. I was surprised at how long they can just sit in her room and play with this magic broomstick! A great buy for any Harry Potter fan! :)

I'm not sure if this is legit or not. The item really was listed on amazon.com but it seems to be discontinued.

I know it was a stretch to buy this for my seven year old--but he's such a Harry Potter fan I thought he would find it amusing. He thought it was really dumb even before opening the package. My four year old son, though, thinks it's great and he's only starting to learn about Harry Potter.

Smiley: lol

So, if your kid's a Harry Potter nut, he or she will probably enjoy swooping around on this broom...
So that's what kids are calling it these days.

It's funny reading all the reviews with a perverted view.

This came out after the first movie I believe and has since been discontinued after it was discovered to act more as a ***** then a kids toy.

Bad internet publicity I guess ruined it.

This toy was #1 on my daughter's Christmas list. So what the heck, although it has no educational value I figured it would be good for imaginative play. It wasn't until after she opened her gift and started playing with it that I realized that the toy may offer a more than sensational experience. The broomstick has cute sound effects and ***VIBRATES*** when they put it between their legs to fly. Come on---what were the creators of this toy thinking? She'll keep playing with the Nimbus 2000, but with the batteries removed.

Seconded that. Some parents are odd. I wouldn't want to see or know of it, but I definitly wouldn't care if it was; in fact, I'd expect it to be happening passed a certain age.

Though, it would be funny if I were to find out by a walk in and later on that day begin quoting American Pie... Smiley: laugh

"umm...derm...uh...****************** see...umm...it's a perfectly...normal...natural thing. I mean...I still do it...and...."

"OMFG, DAD!!!"

Then again...************ is a sin! Sin, I say!

If it's a boy, isn't it sort of a given? I don't want to know either but, I would almost wonder about my son if he didn't. Women, on the other hand, all lie about it even if they do.

To me it was like macaroni and cheese. Had never had it, and once I did, I realized what I was missing.
