I was in California last week and due to the $US being in the toilet I had a luvly time. I particularly enjoyed a Burrito place near Venice, CPK Pizzas and The Cheesecake Factory was especially challenging on the waistline...
Any burrito joint in LA is a probably good choice. But CPK is
not real pizza. And you shouldn't have been shocked by the fat people at Disneyland if you ate at a Cheesecake Factory...
I wasnt 'shocked by fat people at Disneyland'. In fact I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of fatness generally. I particularly liked the way eateries in Ca listed the calorie content of food they were selling, something that we would do well to emulate in NZ. Tho' saying there is 2100 calories in something may cause some of our Islanders to see it as a personal challenge.
Also the people I stayed with are not big eaters-out, so I'm sure I didnt get to see the 'best' that LA has to offer. Like I said tho', I enjoyed myself.
On topic abit....
I really fail to see any redeeming features in this Romney fellow. From his idiotic belief system to his 18th Century politics and so-called family-values, he's a disaster waiting to happen to the world. And Obama has shown himself to have two faces. One, where he says all the right stuff to whip his base in to a frenzy of adulation and support, and two, where he continues to escalate wars in foreign countries, support the barbaric policies of Israels leaders, and pour public money into propping up bankers and BigCorp whilst cutting back on social sevices, and encouraging dodgy as f
Uck construction types to build nuclear power stations.
