What will be the results? Most likely nothing.

Almost certainly nothing. Who benefits from any sort of intervention here? What would that even be?? Firing a cruise missile into a vague area the Ukraine Interior Ministry pretends it knows where this originated from? Days later? Special forces snatch and grab of random insurgent the same ministry indicates is responsible? That seems like a good idea. Sanctions? Against whom? Russia? They seem to give zero fucks about the existing ones and you loose all sense of proportionality acting on what was likely an error in judgement by a non state sponsored group that NO ONE GIVES A **** ABOUT. Human life is utterly meaningless when removed from a useful political context. There is no useful political context here. The only people that will be punished are citizens of Gaza. For being unlucky.

I bet Putin rolls his eyes, has a laugh, and feels justified in his decision to let the Ukraine problem sort itself out.

No no, he's right on it. He sent a letter to and called the Dutch prime minister to send his condolences.

It's a big win for Putin, obviously.

The real loser is Malaysian airlines. Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, but no one is going to want to fly with them to find out whether it's a conspiracy.

The plane was full of AID's researchers.

There's a big congress on AIDS in Australia soon with about 13,000 attending or something like that so they were on their way there. Not just researchers but all sorts of people including activists and whatnot.

Saw that, then realized I had an analysis I'd been slacking on for some of the HIV people here. Felt like I should probably push that along, you know do my part to help. Checked first though, they didn't explode over Ukraine or anything.

In reference to the title, for anyone who have never flown Malaysia Airlines, it's actually a really good airline. I flew it again about a month ago to Sri Lanka. Very nice people, comfortable seating, "high tech" and good food.

I would take this time to take advantage of a possible price decrease like with the cruise liners.

I submit this as proof that Alma is causing the airline to be cursed each time he flies with them.

Looks like they might want to upgrade their aircraft with detection systems, flares, and thrust vectoring if they want to fly over Eastern Europe anymore.

And maybe even more redundancy in tracking systems, for those southern hemisphere jaunts.

The bodies are rotting in a train car.

Doesn't the world have some investigative body that can force it's way onto this crash site. Seems odd that the Joe Schmo rebels, after shooting down this plane are still in charge of the recovery and investigation.

People are trying to but any action involving force is risking a way bigger war so people are careful. Russia being the only ones who could easily take action but they won't since they're trying to claim it's a conspiracy of sorts and Kiev shot down the plane so they're giving the rebels all the time they need to clear out any evidence.

The bodies are in refrigerated train cars and the Dutch representative said the pro Russian Rebels....er Ukrainian Recovery team did a hell of a job.

https://ca.news.yahoo.com/dutch-expert-says-ukraine-body-recovery-team-did-131202481--finance.html

Quote:
Peter van Vliet, leader of a 3-man team of Dutch body identification experts, the first international investigators to visit the crash area, said his priority would be getting hundreds of bodies now stored in refrigerated rail cars to a location where they can be identified and sent home.Despite reports that some of the bodies may have been looted and were never properly secured during days lying out in summer sun, van Vliet expressed admiration for the recovery crews that gathered them.
"I'm very impressed about the work that was done over here," he said after inspecting the main crash site, where bodies were still being found a day earlier pinned under chunks of aircraft wreckage.
Citing the heat and the scale of the site, he said: "I think they did a hell of a job in a hell of a place."
