I was supposed to be going to my daughters this weekend to watch her play Roller Derby. It was going to be a very whirlwind trip - 2 days of driving for less than one day spent with the kid. But new tires (NOT from the guy that censored me) used up all my spare money. I didn't feel like I could go to the hubby-bank right now and ask for more as I just got back from vacation.

I was kind of relieved I let myself out of the long drive, but I'm really disappointed in missing the Derby Bout.

I have some remaining loot left in my garden I'll be clearing out this weekend and I think, since my car got new shiny accouterments, I'll give it a good cleaning - inside and out.

How about you?

This afternoon/evening someone is shooting part of a movie right across the street from where I live, so I'll probably get some gawking in. Tomorrow I have to take the cat back to the vet for some blood work, so that shoots the **** out of Saturday afternoon. Sunday will undoubtedly be crazy trying to cram in everything I didn't get done. Or a nap! Could be a nap.....

Disneyland. Smiley: nod

Well you know after 2 days of scrambling, misplacing stuff, packing, and 16 hours straight on the road with 2 little ones. But still!

Dunno! There were notices posted about street parking because of the movie shoot. No details about what movie or which studio.

Start taking pictures and hope to catch a celebrity or a clue as to what kind of movie it is. I figure we can collectively figure out what movie it is.

I'm finishing off the redecorating and not much plans afterwards. That's my excitement for the weekend.

So, not a movie but the TV show "Looking" will be filming. I need to let my hair guy know, he's obsessed with that show.

This week has been The Star Spangle 200 Celebration with Tall Ships and Blue Angels. Jonwin is right now helping a friend with tours of her schooner the Farewell.

I opted to stay home today, so I'll have the energy to see some of the Tall Ships and watch the Blue Angels tomorrow, before I have to go to the Baltimore Science Fiction Society club house for Balticon 49 meeting and annual elections of officers. Already 2 members have ask for my vote for Balticon Vice Chair. Winner will be Balticon 50 Con Chair, with George R.R. Martin as the the Guest of Honor.

The Blue Angles just started their practice for tomorrow's show, so I may go out side to watch them fly by and turn back toward the inner harbor.

Going to the thing down in California for a few days, but taking a whole week off work because I'll need it after the two drives.

The one in Florida is Disney World. Don't fret; the Hecks didn't know the difference either.

Blue Angels over the NOAA ship Okeanos Explorer. Spent the last 2 days enjoying the Star Spangle Spectacular and watching the Bluue Angels fly over Ft. McHennry, though there was no way I was going to try to get to the fort with the lines and bag policy for going into secure areas. Was strange seeing men in uniform with weapons, guarding the lines taking shuttle buses to the fort.

Airplanes!!!!!

I've been printing RoV pieces to try and get the thing done far enough that it will qualify for the contest, but my big 3d printer is being cantankerous on the larger prints. I just need to take the time to adjust it properly. Also ordered some of the hull passthrough fittings, and the closed cell structural aircraft foam that will be the basis for the float.

Other than that it was a pretty slow weekend. lots of driving my brother around to pick up applications.

I don't know what that is but it's got to be something obscene because else google wouldn't filter it, right?

The weird thing about the filter is where it makes your mind go. In what sense would "fittings" be obscene? Well, now... *cue cheesy dirty movie music*...............

Monday...
On the days I work from home(most).. after shower I usually plop myself in front of my email.. log into servers and proceed to work and function normally... AND I an able to FORGET that I have neglected to make any coffee for myself.. and I can get away with this feat of daring.. somehow able to be propped up on the freshly polished braincells from a decent night sleep..
But inevitably as the hours creep on and the emails creep in... and right about this time... the.. gears.. just... ACKK

P.S. Time for coffee!!
