I was just informed that ZAM is going through some cost cutting restructuring, and that they no longer need a forum administrator. Never really thought I would write this post, but here it is. As of this moment, I no longer work for ZAM, I'm not an admin, I can't fix anything on the site, etc. I don't know what is going to happen with the forums, hopefully they will end up in good hands.

I always maintained that if I ever got canned from this place, I wouldn't stick around and haunt it like some sort of vengeful poltergeist. I've made a lot of friends here, but I've also annoyed a fair number of people over the years, so it's probably best if I just disappear into the winds.

It's been a fun 16 years. Definitely an interesting ride. To everyone in the Asylum, thank you all for putting up with me, for enduring the horrible puns and bad jokes, etc. I'll miss you guys. It may not be the biggest forum on the internet, but you shaped more of gaming culture than you know.

Damn, I'm not really sure what to say. Wasn't really expecting this today, so it hasn't really hit me yet.

It's been a hell of a run. Good times, some bad. More spammers banned than probably anyone else on the planet. I like to think I left things in better shape than I found them, but who's to say really.

Whoever is the last person left in the forum, please shut the lights off when you leave.

I'll miss you dude. You should probably keep posting though. Banning Varus is now someone else's job!

It's kind of ironic really, about 90% of the time that Varrus got himself banned, it was actually one of the other forum admins getting annoyed at him. I always kind of thought he gave people a nice jucy target to yell at and ridicule.
