Kk..
Michelle Bachmann wrote:
I think before his second term is over, we're going to see a miracle before our eyes, I believe God is going to answer our prayers and we'll be freed from the yoke of Obamacare. I believe that's going to happen and we saw step one last week with the repeal of Obamacare in the House. We have two more steps. We serve a mighty God and I believe it can happen.

If God were to answer my prayers Michelle would have a corn dog permanently stuck in her mouth.

Dear Winter: Thanks for finally showing up in my neck of the woods, even though you missed the time I could have taken full advantage of your weather. Ass.

When Flea and I got married, all her Virginia/DC family gave her shit about moving out here and having to face the Chicago winters. Since then, it seems the east coast has been buried every year. I'm not saying that you're cursed by the spirit of Chicago but that's obviously the reason.

Has DC actually had bad winters? I know Boston has been a mess the past decade or so, but we've always had worse winters than you whiners. Also: more wind. I guess "the mediocre place that isn't quite New York" didn't have the same ring to it.

Bad for DC, I guess. From what I gather, it's supposed to be relatively mild over there and more "wet" in the winter than "snowy".

Oh good. Bully for them. We're supposed to get "between 2 and 3 feet of snow" with 60+ MPH gusts of wind. Then overnight lows the next day below freezing. Although I see they've modified the predicted -5 low to +3 for Wednesday, so yay!

Plain without the prompter. Pure, unrefined, right wing crazy. But her audience drank it up.

Another Latin word, status quo, and it stands for, ‘Man, the middle-class everyday Americans are really gettin’ taken for a ride.’ That’s status quo, and GOP leaders, by the way, y’know the man can only ride ya when your back is bent. So strengthen it. Then the man can’t ride ya, America won’t be taken for a ride, because so much is at stake and we can’t afford politicians playing games like nothing more is at stake than, oh, maybe just the next standing of theirs in the next election.

Spent the morning wondering if we brought the picnic table in last night of it was covered with snow. Snow, I think. Didn't lose power or internet, though....yet.

Oh, wait. There it is. No, no we didn't bring it in. Only 12 more hours of 1 inch an hour + snow to go!

Hasn't the Conservative position been for some time now that the Earth is getting warmer

No. It's been full scale denial of any actual evidence to that effect. That's moderated slightly to "We can't prove humans have anything to do with it" and "Maybe warming is a good thing!" recently. We're about 100 years from the scientific consensus being treated as such.

Recognizing the problem would also force them to recognize that the unregulated free market is failing to produce the best societal outcome, and that the only solution is some form of government intervention, which would make Zombie Milton Friedman sad.

We must have gotten at least 2 feet. Hard to say with all the drifting, but it's ALOT. I had 3-4 feet in front of my garage door, but it tapered down to a couple inches in front of my husbands garage door.

I spent the whole fricken storm/day off playing video games. I feel like a basement dwelling pimple-faced slug.

Sarah Palin is getting creepier by the election.
