So, I am not a football fan, really. But I have invited some friends over, because my social anxiety is not high enough.

Making ribs with a homemade BBQ sauce, hot wings, guac from my personal recipe, a dipping sauce for some broccoli and cauliflower made with greek yogurt, minced raw garlic, sriracha, red rooster hot sauce, and scratch jojo potatoes with a garlic mustard aioli.

Anyone else celebrating head injuries today?

As a person that doesn't give two ***** about the Superbowl, I'll be celebrating by going grocery shopping. It's the best time of year to do it. Stores are a ghost town after six.

I could care less about the game, I just see it as an excuse to get together with friends, and make good food! Also, I did my grocery shopping at 7:30 this morning, it was crazy busy! But, I didn't have the luxury of waiting for the game to start.

It really was a great game. I couldn't go out because I got fucking plastered last night celebrating my best friend's engagement.

On the plus side, I didn't have to deal with those annoying people that are only in it for the commercials, or worse, the halftime show.

(I liked the Tide commercials best FWIW)

And as a Redskins fan I nominally should dislike the Eagles, but my best high school buddy uh...grew up or was spawned in Philly (can't remember which, but my email will be "congratulations, to you and your ****** team!!")

That's a reason I didn't invite my mama over, after a dozen+years. We...this past Falcons DEBACLE left so much sour taste in my mouth. Mom also doesn't like the Pats but maybe should be a bit pissed at me for not inviting her over.

And how about that first hour of veterans winning medals of honor and jets flying and military ************ and propaganda. I kept clicking from the purported launch time of the game, to "Monk" to back when maybe some military singer would just end the jingoist song....

In any event this was a pretty good Super Bowl. Which also included some dubious referee decisions, towards both teams. And well, just as a non-stupid person---was a bit remarkable how both teams' prior excellent defensive squad sucked here.

But, and...Tom Brady getting sacked and fumbling. What a joy.

Counterpoint: Foles and etc. giving thanks first to God or Jesus or something. Has there ever been an avowed Super Bowl MVP or big star who was an atheist? I guess maybe Richard Sherman? And not that he's an atheist....just some recall of mine of a winner who didn't thank JESUS for in his high heaven giving a **** about US sporting contests. And an iconoclast.

Anyway....I automatically hit my mute button for all commercials on all shows. It's reflexive. But I did un-mute when there was an ad for some movie, a preview or something. Other ****---no, why unmute.

May all your days be rich

Four day military thing to finalize details and the beginning of a mountain of paperwork but we did let the kids watch the game on a projector on Sunday.

So which commercial is Gbaji going to decry as the Liberal Indoctrination of America this year?

Was very happy to celebrate head injuries along with the rest of the country. Hopefully this exciting game encourages a brand new generation of hopeful youngsters to become test cadavers.

But at the very least Philly should burn nicely, and I got to enjoy some delicious cabbage rolls. Smiley: nod

Yeah, at some point the amount of effort it would take to care less would be pretty counter productive.

Liberals don't eat tide pods. They give them to the needy in order to make them dependent on handouts, of course.

Meh, they'd fight over whether to use Tide Pods or Clorox Bleach Pads.
