Iron Man and Wolverine are both getting japanamized into 12 episode series. I'm not sure this taps into mutual interests so much as it alienates both groups. Wolverine looks like a sissy girl, and the villain form Iron isn't exactly screaming masculinity either.

This isn't Marvel's first venture into Japanese media either. Do they see this as a fertile frontier?

Having Wolverine float gracefully past the bad guys without so much as twitching, then showing them inexplicably diced to pieces, strikes me as lazy animation. Especially when it's repeated ad nauseum.

I'm not much for anime anyway, though.

Interesting... Wolverine looks pretty stupid but I'd be willing to give Ironman a shot. Maybe.

Indeed.

I'd give Iron Man a shot. Mangaverse Spidy was incredibly goofy, but still entertaining at least. And Mangaverse Black Cat and Mary Jane totally make out. I hope there is an Aniverse/Mangaverse Pepper Potts.

Okay, so its CPR. Still.

Yeah I think Iron Man lends itself to the animation style better. Wolverine just looked kitschy what with the cherry blossoms and crap.

I usually like Mad House's style of Anime as it tends to be pretty good quality.

But Wolverine's anime mullett is worse than his son Daken's Marvelverse mullet, which I didn't think was possible.

Well, Pepps is a redhead, for one. I had originally dismissed carchick as "random chick Tony probably boned/bones" but then, thinking about it a little, it could possibly be. I wasn't using anime logic.

Lol, yea... I assumed the green hair was just for the anime. It could just as easily be some random chick I guess though :P.

What I like about anime is how actions scenes - if done well - can really be fluid, fast paced, and epic. Iron Man looks like it'll lend itself to that really well. Wolverine had the potential to, as well, but it just looks stupid.

In a vacuum, as a totally new character, Wolverine in that wouldn't look too bad, IMO. But this isn't a new character, it's an adaptation of a long standing character. You can make some changes without a problem, but I think they went too far. He just doesn't look like Wolverine to me, which will probably leave me unable to handle watching the series.

I do have some hopes for the Iron Man one, but I'm curious as to where they plan to go with the story. Is it going to be something of a side story with a new villain, or is that guy we kept seeing some kind of current villain I'm just not recognizing?

His hands really freaked me out. Then I saw the hair. Smiley: frown

Agreed, this is basically a kid version of Wolverine. Wolverine has never ever looked young (apart ofcourse from Origin, but that's too be expected), just too weird to look at this version.

No voice in this trailer, I might watch an episode just for that though.

Watching the Wolverine trailer just reinforces my general disdain for the character. I'm glad he's going to Hell.

Not glad that he seems to be the only character to ever appear in seven hundred books a month while being dead, though.

Lol they made Ironman Pink and yellow instead of Red. Then they have him fighting the German military ghey fetish badguy stereotype. And yes Wolverine's mullet is epic. I'm sure they will have him licking his claws with a long freaky tongue and lisping away at the bad guys. Can you say "Bub" with a lisp?

WTF is the JP obsession with effeminizing everything? Are they repressed or something over there? Giant 12 pen demons destroying cities with man fluids can be overlooked but both these trailers on the otherhand cannot! XD

If you could see the cover better, you'd see the best part of it. Near the top left, it says something like "Wolverine does not actually appear in this comic."
