To sum up the major plot with the Lich King.
1) Lich ended up killing billy and possessing his corpse. With the help of Finn and Jake he was able to open a portal to the space between dimensions. There he made a wish to destroy all life. Finn and Jake both made a wish, Finn wished that the Lich never existed and he ended up, after a series of events, as the new ice king. Jake wished that the lich wished for Finn and Jake to be back on Ooo, essentialy negating the Lich's wish.

Also concerning Finn and Princess Bubblegum.
Finn's new girlfriend is flame princess. He now looks at Princess Bubblegum as a plutonic friend, the same way she looks at him. Questions abound concerning how far their relationship will go but she considers Finn as her boyfriend. I just have one quesiton, why doesn't flambo teach either fin or the flame princess that fire immunity spell? Smiley: confused

And finally with Jake and Lady.
They had weird rainicorn/dog puppies. Yep...

On a side note, I want "I floop the pig" on a shirt.

Because they don't want to be macking on each other while covered in Flambo's spit.

Ah good point. On a side note these double quotes are slightly annoying. Smiley: tongue

Edit: A bit of digging around turns out that he only spit on Jake because, well, he wanted to. When Flambo applied the fire shield on Finn and Jake later he punched both of them in the forehead. Which again raises the question why couldn't someone like the flame princess learn it? Also does the spell's recipient need to be living in order to receive the spell. We know that FP gets extremely hot (lolinduendo) under very romantic situations. Couldn't she just cast it on Finn and then, let's say, her place? *Poof* Then both of them could eat each others face without worrying about turning Finn into charcoal and avoiding the whole 'destroying Ooo' problem.

...

Now that I sit here and proof read what I just typed a thought came to mind. "I have been thinking about this waaay too much." Smiley: oyvey

Last week's episode was a nice little bit of back story between Marceline and Simon. And apparently a still mutating version of Princess Bubblegum. I wonder why candy mutated into sentient beings after the nuclear war. Is it some sort of comment on how ubiquitous sugar is in the world? And with Bubblegum being alive 1000 years ago when Simon was Simon, I wonder if her current form remembers Simon from before? I don't think it's ever been hinted that she knew him from before like Marceline did. Only exposed to the evidence afterward like Finn and Jake have been.

And this week's episode was... strange.

I am not 100% on boat with that line of thinking. Only things I can figure out is that she is 18 and according to Finn she is the one that created the Candy Kingdom. -shrug-

Her "age" is 18, but we've seen that her age can change depending on the amount of candy biomass she has. Nevertheless, while I think she's probably older than 18, I don't think the gum in the flashback was PB as-we-know-her. Maybe it's just her ancestor. Or maybe she was "born" when a chunk of goo split off from the large main body, and became a separate entity.

I suppose that makes sense. The original blob could have found a candy warehouse, sort of speak, and proceeded to gather candy. Once it reached a particular mass it developed the ability of critical thinking and all that jazz. Spending time alone made Bubblegum desire people so she gave life to candy and used them to create the candy kingdom. Damn you TirithRR for seeming logical the more I think about what you said. Smiley: glare

Weird thing is, back in one of the episodes, their movie night one when Jake and Finn go off to create their own movie and get into a fight. Finn is handing out drinks to everyone as they prepare to watch a VHS they found. PB declines the offer saying she brought her own. He glances into her mug and it's a pink liquid with a mouth and eyes, pretty much exactly like the pink goop that gave Simon the chicken soup for Marceline.

Was just rewatching the very first episode, and when Bubblegum reanimates Creampuff, he's got green slime pouring out of his eyes and mouth just like the zombie things in Simon & Marcy.

Ok. New episode spoilersFuture Finn sounded like Commander Riker

And the crazy hermit sounded like Vizzini

And what is up with alternate/future versions of Finn always missing an arm? Alternate Lich-Free future Finn lost an arm and had it replaced by a mechanical claw. Alternate Future Pillow-Finn lost an arm and had it replaced by a pillow claw.
Edit: Turns out Finn's imagined himself with a mechanical arm on a couple other occasions too.

Wow. So Puhoy mirrored a classic episode of Star Trek: TNG where Picard lives out an entire lifetime on an alien planet, including raising a family, he dies, then wakes up on the Enterprise with only 30 second having passed. And furthermore, Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker) was the voice of adult Finn.

I loved the bit with Jake throwing away his cup, and also him yelling "there's no good kind of festering!"

Also: Finn's alternate reality kids are named "Jay" (presumably after Jake) and "Bonnie" (Marceline calls Princess Bubblegum "Bonnibel").

And Finn seems to lose his right arm in every alternate reality.

Also, it's interesting that they've continued to allow Jeremy Shada's voicing of Finn to get rapidly deeper through puberty, even though they could easily pitch it higher if they wanted. It definitely parallels his adolescent confusion in this episode.

If it hadn't been BMO, I think it would have been quite sad. Instead it was only a little sad, and mostly funny.

So, I'm finally catching up on this. Just finished Puhoy, but my question is about the glitch episode. What's the deal with Jake and PB? That's the first hint I've seen of anything between them... and also reminds me that I haven't seen LR in a long while.

It's been a while since I watched Glitch. What exactly are you referring between Jake and PB, cause I don't remember anything jumping out at me. The main thing I remember from that episode was PB making out with herself and Ice King's "I'm still into this" as she started stomping on him.

Edit:
Oh, I think I remember now... I didn't really think anything of it. It reminded me more of when PB mimic'd Jake saying something along the lines of "Kiss me, Finn" like Jake. Jake and PB like picking on Finn at times.

But also, they did kind of personify Jake's hand during the episode, when he lost it he had a flash back of the good times he had with his hand. Could have been just a little joke for that episode continuing on that personification.
