Free Comic Book Day
It shares "Ma the 4th be will you" day. I usually make this post a bit closer to the actual day, but iirc some people come into the thread and say how they missed the day? Well here is over a full week's notice. The site above will give all the details you need if you are new to FCBD. It gets bigger and bigger each year (well at the Comic shop I go to :D) and has been a fun event I've gone to for the last 4 years.

It might be the first year that nothing really jumps out and grabs my attention, but I'll probably wander over to my LCS to see what's what. It's like a little isolated holiday party and I usually have a pretty good time.

The Dragon Ball and Mouse Guard comics are the 2 I want. Unsure how many are being given free this year, but the Steam Punk Oz one looks neat as does the Fathom one. Fathom was a comic I could never get m parents to buy be due to the art? I don't remember what the *** excuse my mother came up with for me to not see partly/naked women when I was younger...
Over the weekend I was at the comic store I go to, and it sounds like they have a lot planned for the day. This year's drawing is for 1 lucky person to win 1 Comic (of a series) for a year. I know there was an artist or 2, but their names have already done vanished from my mind :3
