Sorry, can't post video. Just wanted to point out how magnificent the Comedy Central commercials with Tom Hiddleston are. Loki and a bunch of kindergarteners.

Oh, and out this Friday. Mostly the commercials though.

And Jaimie Alexander's premiere event dress. Especially when viewed from the right. I'll let you kids Google that one yourself, preferably when you're not at work or school.

There's a bootleg online already (yay international releases!). However, the big news today is that Marvel announced Netflix TV shows based on Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, & a miniseries based on the Defenders (With no mutants/FF/Spider-Man; so I'm guessing Doc. Strange, Hellstrom, Valkyrie, & the 4 mini-series' folks with maybe a Hulk Cameo. No Namor, Silver Surfer, Beast, Black Cat. Maybe Ant-Man if that flick bombs.)

Good flick, way better than the first one. No need to see it in 3D. Two post credits scene, the first of which leads into Guardians of the Galaxy & shows Benicio Del Toro as the Collector (Squee!). The 2nd one is more in line with the Avenger's schwarma scene. Loki pretty much steals the movie, but Thor is much less one dimensional in this than in his previous two appearances. The villain is pretty boring, though. Its quite funny, too.

Although I do hope the thing they show at the end chasing the birds pops up in SHIELD next week...

Also, the longer version of the Cap preview that played before the flick was pretty amazing.

It was decent enough. It was definitely better than the first movie, but that's not saying much. It could have benefited from losing about twenty minutes though. There were a couple points during the middle where the movie really just dragged by, not accomplishing much. Still, I enjoyed it. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5.

I agree, I liked it better than the first one for the most part, though there were some aspects of the first one that they lost in this one that could have been improved on. The middle was definitely unnecessarily slow. I did like that they were willing to bring the humor in. The Captain America cameo / illusion / thingy in the middle was hilarious though

Overall I'd say it was worth a watch. I liked it better than I liked Iron man III. Natalie portman could still have been replaced by a cardboard cutout though.

I'm reading good things here, but I need to know if it is worth it's ticket price.

Yup. No need to see the 3D version, though.

I concur. Worth watching at least once if you enjoy that sort of movie in general anyways.

The sets are *really* pretty. Its the sort of eye-candy (not referring to bodies) that I love watching on a big screen. Loved the special effects and enjoyed the set-pieces. Didn't see it in 3-D and it was still gorgeous. This is one of the new raft of superhero movies that I have liked better than most of them. Iron Man 1 is still my favorite. I laughed out loud a couple of times in Thor 2. I think Natalie did the best she could with the material handed to her. I've seen a few art-house films where she has acted her butt off.

Natalie Portman has been in some really awesome roles. But she consistently gets cast in roles where the writers completely drop the ball.

She was absolutely amazing in Closer, imo. I thought she did an awesome job in V for Vendetta. Not that this is saying much, but I'd say she was one of the better cast members in the Star Wars prequels. WAY closer to Jackson-level talent than she was... Christensen.

The writing for Jane really bugged me for the first Thor, because there were even minor writing changes I could see that would have made Jane's character so much stronger. But they consistently undercut those moments to refocus on Thor. Which ultimately, imo, made Thor's character less interesting.

This bugged me even more because the Iron Man trilogy actually understood it needed to let Pepper be way more... real. And I don't think Gweneth Paltrow has nearly as much talent that Portman does.

I like all the beautiful sexy female actors hitting the scenes these days that are flat-chested as I am. Natalie Portman, Keira Knightly, Lucy Lui and so many more.

Are you guys backing off big boobs?

I've never been thrilled with Gweneth Paltrow's acting. I just always get the impression that she doesn't even try and act....because 'why should she'?

We're concerned about ergonomics and back injuries these days.

Well you could always watch Spartacus (blood and sand) and get your naked Xena fix.

Eh, I like lots of different boobs.

Saw the movie today, it was enjoyable. Not great, but pretty good.

Don't know who the Collector is, but piqued my interest for the next Avengers (or Thor 3 or w/e). Frankly I'm more interested in what happened to Odin.

Just watched it now, there was no 2D option, unless I take the glasses off I guess, which just makes it look like one has been drinking. A lot.

Very entertaining, which is what I went there for, so call me happy.

I did stand in line for ONE pop and ONE popcorn, then blew a gasket when they wanted $14 for it, which was more than the ticket price. The Scottish part of me made me walk away.

I'm not a comic book reader, so who was this "collecter" dude after the credits?
#21 Nov 17 2013 at 9:20 AM Rating: Good
He's an Alien that collects things. He'll be in Guardians of the Galaxy.

It's all about the ratio of the breast size to the size of the body, IMO. With the shape most common in Hollywood actresses nowadays, good boobs should be on the small-med side.

I have to decide if I want to see this tonight, despite being incredibly tired, or see it tomorrow, despite having stiches in my shoulder.

I was at the nearby Cinepolis recently and realized that in addition to the $20 for the ticket, I'd spent $40 for food. But in this case, food meant sweet potato skinny fries with an insanely good honey mustard sauce, an avocado BLT panini with chicken (also ridiculously tasty), and a pretty decent margarita (a bit on the small side, but sufficiently strong). Put in the context of $14 for a soda and popcorn, that's not a bad deal after all. And comfy chairs!

I don't even know what sort of food they serve at the theaters I frequent. I'm not there for the food, and I can go two hours without needing to gulp down an over sized paper cup of watered down diet coke.
