I'm surprised Jesus hasn't shown up yet. It has been a while, but isn't he supposed to be out there instead of Aaron? I hope he isn't being left out of the show, but then again Daryl kind of already has his role. And looks like Carol is taking like 90% of Andrea's role, though hopefully she doesn't take that final 10%. Either way, I think this was about where the book started to drag as well.

I think they'll kill the baby as a season finale. Maybe not this season's, but one of 'em.

I liked this episode. More so than the two before. I just hope, if this is another community of people with whom they'll clash, there's some twist to it that will make it interesting. Because we've had that quite often by now.

It kind of seems like they're getting back to the comic books. There will be clashes of philosophy, & with walkers, but until a 3rd group shows up - perhaps in time for the season finale, don't expect a big conflict. The only twist being that Team Rick may be the "bad guys" in any conflict with the Alexandrians.

Oh & I assume something will happen with Morgan.

There's a certain comic book spoiler that the writer "leaked" on @midnight, but I can only guess that means it won't happen like that in the TV series. Which would be a bit of a spoiler in and of itself...

I don't see that spoiler happening this season, unless they end the season finale on a SUPER downer. My guess is the Alexandria wall will get breached, Rick will lose his new GF, & perhaps Carl will lose his eye (or Rick his hand).

I would guess Glenn meeting Lucille will happen sometime around next season's mid season finale.

That baby was ridiculously clean, all things considered. I couldn't stop giggling at Daryl's "We brought dinner" line. RIP Rick's Hobo Beard. I hope they drop the Socially Awkward Penguin Carl bit fast. We need that like we need a hole in our heads.

I don't think we'll get to Lucille until next season. That's pretty much the biggest "event" to happen for a while as far as I'm concerned. I don't even think they'll do more than even introduce Negan. I imagine the season end will involve Hill Top and maybe some raids.

I think Hilltop happens next season, introducing the bigger world after Alexandria's walls get breached (please oh please have Ezekial & Shiva too!). Maybe they encounter Negan's guys this season, but I see them introducing the man himself unexpectedly next season.

So soon after Beth and Tyreese, losing Ricks beard too was harsh. Smiley: frown

Edit: Can't even spell names properly.

I went back to read a few back issues, and apparently I was off on my timeline. Aaron and Eric were the ones who did bring Rick and the group to Alexandria. Jesus is from Hilltop. Beyond that, poor horse. Smiley: frown

Carol is scary. I'm so proud of her.

Shambling Unliving Edit-ion: Spinoff to be two season (or more) prequel. So twenty-four episodes of the first ten minutes of the Night of the Living Dead Day of the Dead reboot?

That scene was harder on me than most of the human casualties in the series. :(

And now go back and watch her in season 1. Smiley: lol

That got a smidge brutal. After Bob, Tyreese, and now Noah (and, you know, all the rest ...) I'd be doing everything in my power to distance myself from Rick's group too if I were Gabriel.

But seriously, damn.

This thing with Gabriel pissed me off so much. Maybe I missed something but I can no think of a single reason for him to do this other than him being an a-hole. Which is rather lazy writing on top of me wanting to punch through the screen into his face.

The two deaths I'm rather indifferent to. Both were characters I did not care about. At all.

Gabriel is crazy. His self hatred has manifested itself as a hatred of everything in the new world. Alexandria as it was (pre Rick) represents the old world. Rick and his gang represent the "good" of the new world, but still the new world. And after what happened in the church with the Terminus people, he does not want that type of new "good". He wants the old world back and to forget about what he did.

Very mixed episode. Rick and Glenn had some good scenes. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the Rickxplosion at the end. Sasha and her teenage angst "waaah waaah noone understands me" is getting on my nerve. And Carl with his new girlfriend is just plain boring.

But the walkers with the W carved in their forehead look promising. As a non-comicbook-reader I do not understand what this heralds but for now, I'm intrigued.

Even as a comic reader I don't know what the "w" stands for. I think I might, but could be wrong too.

Looks like one of the curves the show tosses in to throw off the book readers. Noah's town had "Wolves are near" (or along those lines) spraypainted on the walls, so I'd bet some small to medium sized scavenger group. Or maybe they're upside down M's for Morgan?

They could be skipping the small groups and going directly to Negan's Saviors, and just changed the name. I seriously doubt it is the Whisperers. They're about blending in, and these guys are about being flashy. Also Whisperers are like three or four seasons in the future.

And down again. Smiley: frown

Got the W answered, Morgan's brief stint crazy turned him into a ninja, while Gabriel and Sasha both deal with their survivor's guilt in different but equally self destructive ways, and Rick manages to convince everyone he's right through pure coincidence and contrivance. Okay season end, though not as good as previous season and half-season ends.

Also saw commercials for Jurassic World and Terminator Genesis, so that was something.

You accidentally misspelled Genysis. Smiley: nod

I wonder what the new, enlightened, "all life is precious" Morgan makes of Rick shooting someone in cold blood. Not much to add to what you wrote. Although I am mightily disappointed that Gabriel survived. He's right up there with Lori and Andrea on the annoyance scale.
