Over the past month I've been hitting the theaters a lot more often that I have in the past. Including this past weekend seeing three movies. I look forward to seeing all the trailers before the movies. One that stuck out was Dracula Untold.

I don't really care about the accuracy of the story to the legend, and all that junk. My brother didn't seem to happy with what it showed of Dracula himself. I just hope it does a lot of the action it shows in the trailers. I don't want it to be one of those movies that end up using up all their action sequences in the trailers and fill the rest with garbage.

Like Dracula controlling the massive swarm of bats into a giant fist the hits the battle field. I think action like that alone would make the movie worth seeing. Kind of reminds me of the opening sequences of The Last Remnant and Lost Odyssey. I kind of am hoping that Dracula is kind of non discriminating in those types of attacks, just devastating the battlefield, not caring which side is being hit, just wanting to use his powers to stop battle. But given the trailer, I don't think this would be the case.

It's Bard of Dale. Smiley: smile

The music they used (everybody wants to rule the world) is a bit overdone.

This has to be better than the Dracula movie that went straight to DVD last year (pretty sure it was last year).

Younger brother was asking about a (good) Dracula/Vampire movie, I told them they were hit or miss. This does look neat, so it will be something in Oct. I'll be checking out.

Bram Stoker's Dracula

Pretty much this. It's a fairly faithful retelling of the book (far more faithful than I thought it would be). And it's got good production quality.

We watched it today. He kept asking questions, that would get answered later on...
When it got over he said something like "now I want to watch that Van Helsing move." It was odd, because it was on TV -.-
I don't think he really cared for it, started messing with his phone rather then watching the movie.

I watched this Saturday.

Very "meh". I wouldn't say it was bad Until the end where they went all modern day, that was just "bleh" but it wasn't a great movie. Relatively short, about an hour and a half, so it doesn't drag on much.

Not really worth a theater visit, but would probably be a good TV watcher.

Other Vampire Movies to Watch:

Let the Right One In & the English remake, Let me In, were both fantastically creepy & about a child vampire. The original is creepier, but subtitled. Byzantium was also pretty cool & while I haven't seen it, Only Lovers Left Alive (Tom Hiddleston & Tilda Swinton as really old vampires) looked interesting. Near Dark is probably the only other modern Vampire movie I've seen that's any good, besides the vampire-ish shorts in the V/H/S anthology series.
