Remember, SE said it would come out after FF13, so I'm assuming this includes in the EU, where we barely have a 2010 release secured right now for 13.
My guess would be TGS/SE Party will give us alot of info to go on, including a Jan closed Beta info.
Around March they will start giving info on Beta testing, most likely via a magazine.
This time next year I'd suspect Microsoft will have snagged the game, just in time for the beta.
PS3 and PC Beta will begin shortly after, and 360 about a month after that,(this is assuming that porting is as easy as they say it is via crystal tools)
I'm assuming in the EU they'll aim for a Summer release if possible for the big money, so around august FF13's rollout will be complete.
Around the end of October, Windows 7 will have had a full year at retail, hoping adoption rate is high, this will make for a good time to launch.
Windows version could be available via Steam or D2D and also plain old DVD, however I reckon it's gonna need about 3-4 DL-DVDs. let's say Oct. 22nd (worldwide)
PS3 version, by then the PSN may have started to offer full games to download. On the other hand, I can't think of anyone WILLING to wait for a 50GB download unless they have at least 20Meg connection lol. And obviously Blu-Ray option is there. Oct. 22nd
(If there is one) Xbox 360 version, will most likely come with a 60GB HDD Minimum requirement. Will ship on 3-4 DL-DVDs and have a mandatory install. Oct. 29th I think?
I think they're likely to miss the demand quota in the UK too, they have done this with every expansion so far, leaving most shops without any copies for a few days.
Around January, the teaser site will switch to a full website detailing info just as the current Playonline.com does.
Likewise the Square Enix account system will see a huge rehaul, as such I think they might even do this to add aditional payment options for FFXI (i.e the mentioned 30 day credit method)
This may seem irrelivant, but meh...I could see SE releasing their crystal tools engine to other developers for profit, that is if the game is successful during beta (mechanics wise).
I think they will emphasise FFXIs presence by keeping the game quiet around it's anniversary in May.
As with FFXI's beta they will probably allow people to transfer into the real servers for no extra charge.
