They're just not very intimidating looking for beastman antagonists. Yagudo, Quadav, Goblins, Anticans are all pretty cool looking, the orcs looked like popeyed ninja turtles.

I wouldn't mind if they just ripped off big green warhammer orcs.

I always thought orcs were the most menacing of all the beastmen. They look like true monsters to be afraid of, while quadav are just turtles that I laugh at, and yagudo are just ninja birds. I love the barbaric orcs!

I'm hoping there will be some mobs (more than just a few bosses) based off the playable races, it gets old beating on countless identical faceless non-humanoids.

I was afraid of all of them. Especially goblins, after partying in Valkurm Dunes in 2004.

Let's hope! With less limitations they'll be able to make unique mobs across the board and not have to stay with base frames that just get re-skinned as they vary in difficulty.

They did what they could with what was available to them at the time in XI but now they have a pretty clean slate in terms of where they can take the creativity as far as enemies are concerned.

They did this too with different armor in XI, alot of the same skin, slight variation or color change, saving the unique styles for rare and hard to obtain pieces.

I'd have to agree with someone above me here and say that the Orcs were pretty scary, while the Quadav not so much.

Maybe have rogues or bandits, enemies that would be cool. SE give us a sense of struggle and danger. If this MMO happens to be in a war era against another country I hope they are playable races or atleast humanoids

Ironically, the orcs were so weak that SE had to buff them since the players were ripping them to shreds for xp.
