We all know how at first Tetra Master was to FFXI. You had to log out in order to play it, and thus no one wanted to spend $1.00 a month for it, because it wouldn't be used.

Now since that PS2 will not be holding this game back, I think it would be a perfect opportunity for them to integrate a time killer such as Tetra Master or Triple Triad, or perhaps even something brand new.

How about it?

I would be for it. Not Tetra Master. Something not too complicated, but not overly simple either. I love poker, but I can't really seeing Texas Hold-Em in a Final Fantasy game. Someting like Triple Triad might be fun.

If it were free, and didn't require logging out at all, and was more Triple Triad and less Tetra Master ... probably not. However, I could see the appeal.

I wouldn't be against it just as long as the rewards weren't anything that was "must get" for a character. Triple Triad wouldn't be bad as long as they keep it to one set of rules to play with. It was kinda stupid that there were 7500 different rule sets to play by in eight.

I was gonna make a thread similar to this >.<

I was thinking they'd put some mini games inside the actual world also.

More or so along the lines of us being able to walk up to each other or...going into a gaming hall(room) then being able to put our own money up and play against each other.

It'd be awesome if there were multiple games aswell, so itd be sort of like a way to make gil. Would be cool.

Gold Saucer, anyone? I'd love to be able to challenge people to an assortment of minigames, especially as something to do while waiting for a party when I don't want to solo! Bring back the snowboarding, motorcycle, submarine, and moogle feeding game(s)!

I would love an in-game Triple Triad. I much prefer it to Tetra Master.

As long as it's all in good fun and the rewards for playing aren't crucial to gameplay, I'm all for it.

I would certainly play an in-game version of Triple Triad or Tetra Master. (Heck, even Blitzball.)
IMHO, the biggest failing of Tetra Master was that you had to log out of FFXI to play it. ;_;

SMN is just epic in it's scope. You gain fame in all cities to have their avatars. When others finish ToAU, they get toys; you get gods.

The biggest failing of Tetra Master was that there was always a chance to lose your 5 most precious cards all at once with little to no chance of getting them back. And then that's why people stopped playing it. Otherwise, I loved the game and would totally spend time playing it if it were integrated into FFXIV.

I don't know about card games but I can see chess in the game. Just place it on a table in the main city.
