Feel free to give us feedback on the skin, the plans we have in store, and anything you'd like to see improved upon!

Personally, I love it so far. Everything is clear and easy to read. Nothing seems too cluttered. I def like the color scheme.

I like the skin, and I like that on the front page you reference Haiderin and not Eorzea...good catch ;D

I also appreciate that there's now a slightly more distinct feel for the FFXIV forums. Hopefully now we can share our ideas and excitement without fear of stepping on the toes of other communities ;D

Meh, seems it's set up like the WoW skin. Smiley: frown I liked the WoW skin back before it's latest change, when it had the forums over to the left like the ffxi skin. Not to mention all the blank space is orz. Really not looking forward to using mouseover dropdown menus to navigate through the forums.

Also, is there a reason why the forums are set up in the format:
"ZAM Forums → Game List → Final Fantasy XIV → Final Fantasy XIV Forum" instead of "Allakhazam's Forums → Final Fantasy XI Forums → Final Fantasy XI General Discussion Forum"?

I like the skin... it's very easy on the eyes. Oddly enough, I get a... Apple product vibe from the skin--the classy/professional interface feel? (Kai is going crazy??)

Excellent skin, and I say that with great sincerity. Most of the allakhazam skin are an aesthetic nightmare. I still use the WoW skin not because it looks any better than the others, but because I've become so used it it that it annoys me the least.

I'm switching over to this new skin.

I actually prefer the old black. This one's... ok I guess. More fitting I suppose, but so devoid of color. So much grey, kinda dull.

Wow I always thought a white ZAM site would hurt my eye because of the brightness but it looks awesome! Very calm feeling.

As my grandpa used to say, "It'll do." Personally I loved the Hello Kitty skin from that one April Fools day. I wish you admins would try to ***** with our heads more than just one day out of the year. I think it's funny. Almost as funny as the mental picture of Tarus wearing condoms on their ears.

You can still view this forum in black. Simply change the "ffxiv" part of the url to "www." Also, a dark version will be coming soon, that way people can choose brightness or dark.

Probably no version with a side bar like the ffxi skin, or a version that actually stretches to fit, right?

Sorry for being super-n00b, but I have a gaming blog with some friends that I've already written about FFXIV on and plan to do some more, (including journal-style game experience entries once the game hits/I manage the beta) would it be cool if I added it to the Blogs list on the Wiki/Site with the "FFXIV" tag so it only showed my posts about the game?

Hi PrinnyFlute, just link to your FFXIV tag and it should be fine! Let me know if you need help and I'll take a look at the page.

Thanks a million! I've got an article planned on the importance of flexible character customization, so I'll just set it all up once that's written. :)

From a designer's point of view, it's bright as ****, so I'm glad that you're adding the darker skin as an alternative, because I'm sure many people will choose it. It's always better to have light text on a dark background than the other way around, on a forum at least.

I honestly like the blues on the XI forum, I'll miss them.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time with it myself, but there seem to be a good amount of folks that like it. For now, until we get the dark option, can you give feedback on the layout and content?

Sorry Deadgye, but I think we're going to stick with right sidebar content. Smiley: frown

Awesome, yeah awesome. I like the layout a lot and I'm all for the "lighter" colour scheme, just makes the fonts seem that much sharper. Followed everyone's cue and bookmarked the site.

This is my future FFXIV Character and this is his theme...at least that's the tentative plan. Yep. (Concept Art of Rasler by the legendary Akihiko Yoshida) I asked for the Qiqirn to be added in FFXIV since October 2009 and we now have them! Yessss!

Much prefer this lighter, cleaner skin than others I've seen on Zam sites. Thanks :)

Very nice, the layout & colors are nice and have a very clean, smooth style to them. Even if a darker option becomes available, I would probably stick with this one.

As much as I don't like it, I'm glad other people do.

I'd be really interested to hear ideas for things you'd like to see on the site besides what we've already mentioned.

Hehe great site, regrading the short delay since the game has been announced there is already a lot of information.
I hope to get premium news about the beta test here :D

Cheers, keep doing such a great job!

Hot Topics was broken yesterday shortly after the announcement, but it's back up and working on the front page.
